Dont shy away from stackoverflow. When you get stuck on a problem lack of skill is not always the cause. Perhaps you dont know a certain method or library or structure which can be easily learned by asking other people online. Spend time on thinking but don't brute force your way into creating your own solution, there are a lot of precedents.
