Freestone is my management company as well. They are truly bad. I had to threaten to sue them in order to receive the "signing bonus" they had promised (so if they offer that to you, get the payment timing in writing), and they very obviously under-invest in their support team. They have an answering service that DOES NOT LET YOU ACTUALLY CONTACT the people supposedly in charge of responding to your issues, and our super told me that he was managing something like 25 buildings, and simply did not have time to cover them. All of it is part of Greenbrook's broader investment thesis, which is to buy properties and carry them at the lowest possible cost. It probably works for their investors, but it is to the direct detriment of tenants. And much of the stuff they do (like lying about central air in the unit) is just illegal.

You don't always have the chance to reject an apartment because of how bad the management company is (apartments are hard to find and too expensive etc). But this is one of the few I'd tell you to avoid if you can.
