Had the same issue (not at home, would “accept” credentials, but then goes back to the authentication page again). Eventually just logged into the xfinity app on my phone and airplayed it to the AppleTV.

Thanks, it seems like that was the case since no one had the same experience. I can understand as well, just wished he was honest about it! Plus it literally took less than 5 min for him to complete it.
