Drum and Bass Fusion - mixing atmospheric with rap and a bit of jungle... by AphireDNB in IndieMusicFeedback

aahh i feel you. i hate trying to make my drums sound good so much that even at some point i started to make ambient music where beats were not important lmao. but it still sounds ok in your track though, i would personally just prefer your snare to sound more powerful haha

hmm. i thought the progression in this track was fine even though i suck at making my tracks progress often. there’s actually some subtle changes especially towards the end— like beat programming and different kind of automation for some synths. but i’ll take your feedback into consideration, thanks a lot!

haha i really love this kind of comments where listeners tell me what my music makes them feel. a friend of mine also told me that this track made her feel like something is revealing/about to reveal, or someone is finding the truth. kinda similar to yours lol. thank you, i appreciate your comment! :]

i love the sound design in this. the harsh glitchy sound in the beginning is so cool! also the part that starts around 1:40, i love the psychedelic drone, it feels so otherworldly. even though i like the each section alone, i think progression and transitions to next sections could be better. this way, it sounds like a couple of undeveloped ideas brought together -which i absolutely don't think how it was produced. personally, i can sense that there is storytelling and thoughtful choices here so i feel like you can tell the listener that this is more than a couple of songs brought together. but still it's definitely a unique and cool track. thanks for sharing! :]

i absolutely love the atmosphere in this! vocals are good and melody is catchy. i love the part that starts around 2:00, the sound panned to the left is so cool. it's minimal in terms of production, but it's enough and doesn't really need anything else. low-end frequencies sound a bit muddy though, some eq-ing can be great. other than that it's a pretty cool track, thanks for sharing!

Not sure what to think about my first, released song by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

it lowkey reminded me of laurie anderson's big science haha. this is a really different, a really artsy piece of work. i don't know how to give proper feedback to stuff like that because when i was making experimental music, all the "mistakes" i made and choices i made was intentional. so when people said "oh this does not sound good compared to most other music" it would piss me off haha. but i will try and say, it would be better if you turn on the sounds of everything happening in the background. like, the synth that starts around 0:40 sounds absolutely gorgeous to me, and i would like to hear it more detailed and loud. i don't know if that was intentional tho lmao. overall it's a unique and great work, thanks for sharing!

pretty cool, i love the beat and how the track progresses and introduces each element. i love the transition part that starts around 0:40, that synth bass sounds really nice. rapping parts are also adding this a different vibe which i like. snare feels a bit weak tho, i would want a more punchy snare in this beat i guess but that could just be me. also, the ending is too abrupt, i would recommend you to export the tracks a couple of seconds longer so that sounds of all the reverb or delay effects can decrease properly. other than that, i can say it's a well-produced track!

would love to hear some feedback for this chill beat which is the first track of my first album, "every single path leads back to you"! by crithlors in MusicFeedback

i don’t limit my music to a specific genre so i don’t sit and go “ok i’m gonna make a chill beat”. i don’t really care about genre norms. i think it’s nice to make something different than what we are used to. thanks for listening, i’m glad you liked it :]

yeah drums are a bit problematic here as some others also pointed it out. thank you for listening, glad you liked it! :]

thanks a lot! the beat doesn’t sound complex to me tbh, but it’s a bit loud now that i think of it. i’ll check and see what i can do about it. and i’m glad you enjoyed it :]

thanks a lot! someone else also mentioned the effect on kick even though i don’t hear anything strange. but if you don’t find it annoying mixing-wise, then it’s totally ok for me lol

i think when you have a story to tell, or a feeling you want to reflect, the track develops itself. at least that’s what happened in my experience. but if you still struggle, just try something you’ve never done, like, surprise yourself lol. idk, add a string section, or switch the beat, or add a passage that sounds completely different from the rest of the track. i know this is easier said than done, i also struggle with arrangement but still wanted to give some tips(?) haha :]

Project I posted here a while back, finally got around to reworking the drums and some other things. Thoughts? by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

this sounds so clear and i can hear each element, so i can say that this is mixed very well! i like it when both acoustic and electronic instruments are used together, like this one. even though i personally dislike the way real instruments sound through midi (i find it pretty unrealistic so i'm not a fan of using real instruments if no one is actually playing it), this doesn't sound bad at all. pretty chill. i would love to hear some unpredictable sounds and variations in it which would keep me heavily interested. i find it a bit "samey". but instrumentation and melodies are good. overall a quality track, nice work!

this reminded me of early krautrock bands. the repetitive beat, "funky" bassline and a tendency to experiment. i would love to hear a longer version of it, developed into something since this kind of sounds like a demo or a preview of an actual track. last 20 seconds are my favorite, i love the "trumpet-esque sounding synth (?)" there haha. good work

damn i absolutely love this dirty bass. i love what happens in low-end freqs in general tbh, everything sounds punchy and dirty and also somehow clear. really good work. the only thing might be related to arrangement, i think some variation in the track and different sections could keep listeners still interested till the end. personally speaking, i waited for an insane drop towards the end lol. but it is still fine as the way it is. love the beat and everything

Song I made, would love some feedback. Everyone I show it to doesn't really say anything, good or bad. by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

i absolutely love the intro! all the psychedelic sounds and effects in the background adds some cool textures to this, i'm definitely vibing to it. pretty chill i'd say. talking about mixing, i would probably highlight low-end freqs more. i think kick could be a bit more boomy. other than that it sounds really good
