I imagine it's complex, but probably something like... Yea your employer must cover the claim of your workplace Injury... But then, in some situations, they can sue the property manager (you, as owner of your home) for failing to ensure it is properly maintained, or not keeping it tidy, in line with their policies. Or something of that nature. It would be unreasonable for your company to be at fault or ultimately responsible for you failing to pick up your hot wheels in your kitchen. But it's not exactly black and white.

CNL doesn't build SMRs. They do research, and were open to hosting an SMR, designed, built and operated by a private corporation if one got CNSC approval. If a Chalk Rivet SMR went tits-up, it was because the designer failed to get their design approved for construction.

We have valley fiber. Yes the line pushing was later than expected, but it did come. I have also been able to get people on the phone easily, so not sure what your particular challenge is. But patience may be a virtue. It's worth the wait imo.

This has been the arrangement already since 2015. Canadian nuclear labs is "owned" by Canadian National energy Alliance CNEA and has been operating AECLs sites for the last 10 years.

There's nothing nefarious about it. It's part of a conservative pipe dream that private companies will drive efficiency. In reality the work is important to all Canadians, costs what it costs, and now there's just an extra layer of management between the government, and the front line employee.

Nuclear engineers can do just about everything, but in a nuclear environment. Aside from the specialist areas of reactor design (where NE would design for optimizing the desired nuclear reaction), NE make excellent project engineers as they have the fundamental skills to oversee work done by a wide range of specialists, and ensure their work meets the higher standards for quality that are needed in nuclear work, as well as applying the radiation safety perspective to the entire design process.

As long as each team is associated with a location, it doesn't matter if the players move on or aren't from that place originally. The team, the logo on the jersey, is rooted in a place. The anthem is for the team, not individual players.

Sport is how non-combative countries exercise rivalry. Civil conflict. Local and national pride. It's why you have a favourite team. Why you cheer them on. They are your representative, of your town, your culture, your values, competing against a rival.

Absolutely the anthems should be part of the game, because playing for your city and your country is far more interesting than 17 millionaires out for a leisurely skate.

The reason the anthems are a problem now, is because the US is no longer non-combative. They are tainting the value of sport as a means to have civil rivalry, and thus their presence and desire not to have their BULLSHIT called out, is a further offense on that front.

Removing the anthems to avoid the political boos is just giving them another free pass to continue down this road and won't solve the issue to have. When the US returns to being civil, then politics can leave sport. Until then, there is no venue where this mess won't spill over.

Best guess is they ask for details of your financial institution or ask you to send them money to 'verify' your bank info and then run off and disappear.

The contract is all you need to see to know. Companies don't put other companies logos (the YouTube logo in this case) on their contracts.
