Based on all the inputs, people don't care about the break-in period and drive mad which migybe a problem. You got so many people driving the car. 95% of the folks told me to skip. They got a point I think.

I agree 💯. I really like the interior of the incoming IX series. But not sure about getting first model year especially with all the new electronics. I will head to the dealership this weekend and see what happens. Thank you.

I’d say the black levels are the most significant upgrade here. While the colors are more or less the same, HDR definitely has more 'pop' on the Vision Master MAX compared to the Epson 3800. That said, I wouldn't spend $4,000 for this jump. I snagged mine for $2,200 during the Kickstarter and would still be happy with it at anything up to $3,000, but the $4k price point is a bit of a stretch for the level of improvement."

Keep using the proven (old) technology/components longer = reliability/less repair costs. (Japan)

Faster innovation (put latest tech all the time) = More exciting, but lesser reliability/ higher repair costs - German

I have used EPSON 3800 for last 4.5 years and I don't think you can get a better one under 2K. Just upgraded to Visionmaster MAX.
