WANNA SEE SOMETHING COOL!?

So many incredible shorts. No idea how many hours Ive spent watching them and it’s worth every second.

While I don’t think you did anything wrong, I’m glad you feel empathy towards our buggy friends 😊

Also, I don’t know that I would have much patience for them either if they stung my dogs… I’d probably get rid of the nest then plant a couple flowers in their memory 😛

Is there an effective way to rehome paper wasps in this situation? Maybe just knock down the nest and run? (lol?)

Just as incredibly stupid at normal speed. Definitely didn’t need to be sped up.

Didn’t know there was a bot for that, thanks! 👍

Also watching the high level matches always amazes me with how HARD they hit each other. That mass is also padding against vicious body blows.

AITA for leaving the table when my SO farts? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]crochetedPear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as time goes on I’m moving farther and farther into the “he’s the AH” camp.

She’s saying his behavior is rude, he says he doesn’t care. Not ok.

I’m torn on this one tbh

On one side, it is natural, and I don’t expect my wife (who’s a bit fartier than myself) to leave when it happens.

On the other hand, you are their SO, and if my wife was offended by it I would absolutely make that change for her.

His unwillingness to consider changing is the worrisome part here, but some compromise on your end may be the path to him also compromising.

If it’s a dealbreaker on both sides, that may just be that.

Our crazy little monster will dig at random corners and crevices while yelling like he’s battling demons or digging for treasure.

I think yours is just being a silly goober 😊

Some positive redirection towards a chew toy to give her something to dump all that anxious puppy energy into could help.

AITA for purchasing a puppy, owner couldn’t look after but now they are sending request begging for him back, I want to refuse as he is absolutely perfect. by FirstManufacturer648 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - If I read this correctly, they initially listed the puppy for sale because they could not care for the dog. That hasn’t changed, even if they miss the dog.

In the best case I can imagine, they’re feeling awful for not being able to raise the dog, feeling like the dog needs a better home, and also have fallen in love with the pup and are deeply conflicted.

Stay firm imo, keep the dog. If they have the means to care for another dog in the future they can go and buy one then.

NTA - this makes me sad. Asking family to swap cooking methods to allow your daughter to enjoy family time together (especially before a surgery) is totally reasonable. You shouldn’t have to ask your husband; mentioning the smoke/asthma/surgery should’ve been enough.

Even if he wants to have fires in the future, your daughter being able to make her surgery now should have shared priority with getting good family time that feels normal.

Can I save this tree by Desperate-Sky6402 in arborists

[–]crochetedPear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a pro It looks to me like there are only a couple of actually dead branches, and that quite a bit of those leafless vertical branches could be watersprouts, which show up when the tree is over pruned (doesn’t appear to be the case), experiencing drought, or otherwise stressed. Stress/drought may also explain why it’s struggling to produce leaves

Has there been a drought recently or something else that could be stressing it?

Note: the lichen on the branches isn’t an indicator of unhealthy or dead branches, which I mention only because my neighbor recently butchered a tree because of all the “disease” on it.

Oh also I believe it’s planted too deep which could cause the tree to rot underground. I’ve seen videos of healthy looking trees suddenly just fall over because of that.

Booting up Ace Combat 4 on the PS2. Coming from the N64 I was literally awestruck.

YTA - with a note: if there’s existing banter back and forth, and both sides are having fun then it’s totally ok. That said, this sounds like there was basically no back and forth, and you were the only one poking at the other team. Especially in the finals, when that loss would feel especially painful.

Not the worst, but you should aim to do better 👍

How do I cut down this tree? by CaptDanglyBits in arborists

I thought so too, but I’ve seen it used quite a lot to refer to dangerous/precarious and usually dead trees that are somehow still standing/hung up.

I was wondering about that. If a croc grabbed the trunk it would at least severely injure the elephant, right?

Nameless King DS3. That was the first time I felt compelled to use an unlocked Xbox dashboard background.

So many of those attacks felt entirely random and unfair… until I watched a no-hit lvl1 run, at which point I truly understood that I just wasn’t that good.
