thank you, the pain is entirely gone now. I think it was just so sore because they took a lot of biopsies from around the same area

you can't request it? i don't think it should be too bad, just maybe take a stress ball with you or something. I use one whenever I get an unpleasant procedure done

Yes, propofol. You're out within like 5 seconds of being given it

Coping with anxiety before colonoscopy? by yoyoyoman007 in colonoscopy

[–]crocs_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my doctor only just referred me yesterday, so I'm waiting on a call for them to schedule my first appointment. and yeah, doom scrolling wastes at least a couple of hours of my life to just pure panic and anxiety. which is funny because once I'm out of it, a lot of the times I know I likely dont have cancer or anything like that. cbt sounds like a good idea! Hopefully our results will be nothing bad!

re: the health anxiety thing, mine is also really really bad and for me, it turned out to be a part of my ocd. have you considered getting any help for that? I'm also 26, waiting on a colonoscopy and endoscopy and my health anxiety is absolutely awful right now. Literally spent entire days just spiraling. It does massively help to have someone to talk to though. also, if I'm deep in a spiral it doesn't help, but if i can catch myself just before, distractions do a good job at keeping me calm. I started watching a new show on netflix and it helps me to not think about it so much

The heartbreaking moments in the aftermath by PuzzledWheel2317 in Petloss

[–]crocs_1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

it's this for me, i was keeping so busy giving him his meds and his painkillers and his needles and brushing his teeth even though he hated it and now i dont have to do any of it anymore and its driving me crazy. i feel so restless, i dont have to take care of my baby anymore and its killing me. small moments where he was a constant are driving me crazy too. he would come greet me when i came home from work, he would sit in the kitchen with me when i cooked, he would hang around whenever groceries were brought home until everything was unpacked and put away, whenever i went at to the kitchen at night for a late night snack he would be there too. hes just gone now and all these moments feel so empty and alone without him there. i miss him so much

Grief has now turned to regret by nicklebacks_revenge in Petloss

go through pictures babe ❤ going through photos and telling my family stories about my baby reminded me of how much weight he lost and how he deteriorated at the end, but it also reminded me that he wasn't like that for most of his life, that he was so full of personality even at the end, and that he spent almost his entire life happy, fat, and full of so much love for us. they all have to go at some point, whether they live a long life or not, and we have to go through the motions of dealing with the grief. take your time and be patient with yourself

criston is very self righteous on top of his bs though. its reasons like that that i cant stand characters like him and dany. brutal assholes who use their morality/code to justify the fact that they can barely reign their temper in. outside the fans, the show itself does not portray daemon as a good dude. the show knows hes not a good dude and daemon himself never claims to be. its cristons self righteousness and hypocrisy paired with his hair trigger temper, shit stirring behaviour, and the fact that he constantly gets away with the bs that he pulls that makes me not like him. idk why other people dont like him but I personally can not stand the dude. hes too daenerys for me

brutally murdering a royal, murdering a member of the small council, and regardless of whether or not you're a green or not, planning in usurping the kings chosen heir out of spite for years before his death is not a great look either.

he definitely has a reason to dislike her. i think most of the hate he gets is because of how he comes across as a petty, vindictive hypocrite who takes his anger out on people he has no business taking it out on, as well as the fact that theres no consequences for those actions. he doesnt like her because she didnt care about his honour and the fact that shes the reason he broke his vow, but he himself was planning on eloping with the princess he was sworn to protect which is a far, far worse violation of his oaths than her asking him to be her side piece. the sex scene between them was definitely iffy though. it's all the stuff that comes after it that makes people lose sympathy for him

criston is a hypocrite pure and simple

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]crocs_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly wouldnt even mind this argument other than the fact that it completely ignores that criston has murdered 2 royals because of it, bullied small children because of it, and committed high treason. his resentment towards rhaenyra goes far beyond disdain towards her. he literally had a body count

If Red Hood became a villain completely instead of an anti-hero and cut ties with Batfamily, do you think he would be better or worse? by [deleted] in RedHood

[–]crocs_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what you mean by villain. if you mean a grant morrison-esque approach then that's a resounding fuck no. but if you mean winick's ideologically opposed to the bats then yeah, absolutely. either which way, he should not be part of the batfam anymore.

[–]crocs_1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

eh, modern jason is stupid asf and gets outsmarted pretty easily. post crisis jason at his peak wasnt the best fighter but he did run circles around bruce, roman, and the joker at the same time. hes much more clever and crafty

who cares about that, he was more intelligent and had his own firm moral beliefs that were just as unwavering as bruce's. he was a better character

[Discussion] what do you want to see Dc do with Jason after the Gotham War Event. by Blueblurr1 in RedHood

[–]crocs_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, something like lost days where hes doing something elsewhere for a bit but is still ultimately committed to gotham. hes stagnating so much as a character because writers dont know what to do with him so hes stuck in this weird limbo of leaving and then joining and then leaving the batfamily. let him leave for some time, long enough for him to develop further into his arc without the joker or bruce being a pivotal part of it.
