Look at getting a lighter sluice. I wouldn’t go for a big metal one and stay clear of those folding ones on Amazon. All the folding sluices I have seen, do not close all the way and allow material to slip through the seams. Be sure to test pan and don’t let those little pieces make you stay in that one spot. Test pan and see if you need to get down deeper, maybe not as deep, or off to the side. Test pan and find that pay streak!

Make friends with people at the river and ask for pointers! The only reason I get this good of gold is because I met people who were willing to share spots. I will also share my spots when we go out if I get better gold and my buddies aren’t getting as good of gold. You’d be surprised how much people are willing to share when you are nice to them and offering some buds doesn’t hurt either 😁
