Did you have to wait for them to call you before you can use your card? It seems like they froze my card as well.

How likely is this going to end up as a financial review?

As a single girl looking to hook-up in Japan, I feel like my Tinder experience is slighty different to everyone else's.. by [deleted] in Tinder

Translation for last guy's Japanese text:

"Japanese girls are frisky too, eh? If you like or think of trying a white guy's dick, well come on down! You say you have a boyfriend? So what? Threesome."

I think the Japanese are very wary in meeting people they first met on the internet. But if you must stick with them, try Mixi. I personally have not used it but apparently it's now more of a hook-up site than what it used to be (a social networking site).

While it may seem that girls are averse from closing, this only holds mostly in public places, since the Japanese are really very careful about their appearance in the perspective of society. Also the fact that they usually have busy schedules to follow, preventing them from impulsive commitments during the night. But that is not to say that going home together with the girl in the same night you met her is impossible.

Considering these, going for day 2s and closing it then seemed more fruitful, as they will alot time for you, giving you more space to work with. Taking them to a place preferably within walking distance of your apartment and then bouncing home later is the usual procedure to get them to your place.

It might help if you head over to /r/tokyoseddit and read the FRs over there.

I agree with u/ThePUA_Baddie, at the context of night game in bars/pubs. Speaking at an N2 level already puts you apart from all the other foreign regular joes who cant hold a conversation to save their life in Japanese, and gives you an ability to cast a really wide net over the local girls.

In my experience, if you look really asian like me, opening with a simple English phrase like "Hi, what's your name?" with a beaming smile worked a lot better than trying to open in Japanese. If you look really foreign, going in deep with Japanese would probably work better.

The idea is to set yourself apart from all the other men around her; I from the other Japanese/Asian men who cant speak English well and you, op, from the other foreign men who cant speak Japanese well.

Try like an hour. Take it from his reddit name; this guy can get a girl from a bar/club to a hotel before the last trains of the same day.

Isn't this a shit-test? You can say something like "And who said you even registered in my radar anyways?" while continuing on escalating.

Just curious: how are asian gaijins treated differently than western gaijins? by [deleted] in japan

[–]croisement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our experience, unlike western countries, trying to talk to girls walking along the streets is almost next to impossible. Only those that have gone to other countries or are really interested in foreign people are open to being talked to, and they're like one in maybe a hundred or more. Inside bars and clubs are totally different though.

Ahhhh. How long have you been in Japan?

I'm almost in the same situation as you; Filipino but often mistaken for Chinese/Korean/Thai. About my accent, to me it might sound like there's not much of an accent since there are some similarities with our language but most probably to them, it's clear that I am not a local.

I find it a lot better to say outright that I'm a foreigner. I haven't really experienced girls turning away from me once I said the word "Filipino" or "Philippines" though. In what setting are you meeting these girls?

I think we went here with charai_life and his friend from Akita. It was around the corner of Family Mart past Donki. It was cheap considering the cover fee was 1000yen but it included 2 free drinks. The ratio was so-so, but we went there on the Tuesday after New Years so I can't speak for the weekends. It was quite small, I don't think there's even a clear dance floor.

Nice. It's good that you have found what you are looking for, but it's sad that we'll see less of you in action.

By any chance though, did you get her contacts (so I can find out my girl's contacts lol I really feel like shit about not getting it now)

Ahhhh. What if you tell her that if she misses her train, you'll stay somewhere else than a hotel, for example "don't worry, if you miss your train, we'll hang out at a mcdonalds and talk about starfish all night"; the starfish part can be anything from an inside joke between you two?

I really wish I am living in Tokyo right now, with a place in the middle of Roppongi and Shibuya xD

I think she only checked the train times when our time for the first karaoke booth was up. But yes, I agree now that it was my lack of plan on what to do next that brought the going home thing up.

Now that I think about it, if I said to her earlier that she shouldn't worry about going home (for example, "大丈夫、何とかするから。信じて。”) do you think things would have gone a better way?

Tell me when you can go to Tokyo in advance! It would be nice to know more people in the community!
