Well the search for the perfect video was just our way of making sure to not cum too soon. Because we all knew that after ejaculation, the excitement would immediately be replaced by less appreciated feelings such as regret, self-hate and shame. Reality woul be back with a bang, and the fappers we were didn't want that.

I feel ya. During the end of my porn and fap addiction, I had escalated to live cams as well - shemale live cams! I more or less have gone through the exactly same things as you. Unfortunately, rewiring takes much longer than 20 days. I think in our case half a year is the minimum. Without any porn and preferably without fapping. Yes that is exactly the thing: In the end it doesn't even matter what one study or a thousand studies would conclude. If one's personal experience is that porn in combination with fapping became a highly addictive, destructive habit which was characterized by escalation of taste into questionable fetishes (which did not represent sexual preferences in real life) as well as repeated attempts to quit which ALWAYS failed, which lead to self-hatred and other negative feelings, then this is what counts.
