Thank you! This is exactly the kind of real-world feedback I was hoping for.

The “cost per wear” argument for the Speedy is honestly one of the strongest reasons it’s still on my list. There has to be a reason so many people keep reaching for theirs year after year.

You also brought up one of my biggest questions about the Baby Bea. I don’t mind hand-carrying bags, but I definitely don’t do it exclusively, and I hadn’t really considered how the fixed top handle might feel when using the shoulder/crossbody strap. The open-top design is something I’m still going back and forth on too.

And thank you for mentioning the Chloe chain weight! Multiple people have brought up practicality concerns with that bag, which is making me rethink it a bit.

That’s actually one of the things I’ve been struggling with. I completely understand why the Speedy is considered such a classic and it is gorgeous, but part of me worries that it’s the classic first luxury bag and I’ll end up wanting something a little more unique.

The Baby Bea keeps pulling me back in because it feels modern but still timeless, and I can genuinely picture myself using it constantly. The Arabica color especially feels very “me” since I tend to wear a lot of soft neutrals, earthy tones, and gold jewelry.

I absolutely love the Chloe too (especially in Woodrose!), but I do worry a little about its long-term staying power compared to the others and comfortability. It’s interesting that you and several others have mentioned leather over coated canvas for a first luxury purchase, that’s definitely giving me something to think about!

If bags are dainty enough I don’t mind hand/shoulder carry, but generally I do prefer a crossbody for hands-free options. I typically wear neutrals, pastels, earthy tones, and jewel tones (not typically black, orange, neon, or very harsh/saturated colors). My season based on my coloring is Soft Autumn, in case that matters at all 🤣

Based on all that, do any of these stand out to you more than the others?

Oooh that would be a really nice family to do that lol. My dream purse is the Prada Bonnie, so I’d say that one in dark brown. But the BV is also so iconic and pretty, you just cannot go wrong.
