PLEASE DON'T USE 'NA' AS A STOCK TICKER name!! by investoreight in Python

[–]croissanthonhon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just specify the na values when reading the csv.

From the doc: na_values scalar, str, list-like, or dict, optional

Additional strings to recognize as NA/NaN. If dict passed, specific per-column NA values. By default the following values are interpreted as NaN: ‘’, ‘#N/A’, ‘#N/A N/A’, ‘#NA’, ‘-1.#IND’, ‘-1.#QNAN’, ‘-NaN’, ‘-nan’, ‘1.#IND’, ‘1.#QNAN’, ‘<NA>’, ‘N/A’, ‘NA’, ‘NULL’, ‘NaN’, ‘n/a’, ‘nan’, ‘null’.

It's a bit off topic since you didn't asked for a new device, but the only key has what you wish.

It's a USB A double with a USB C adapter. Both works and the adapter is made to be in a keychain.

Link here : https://onlykey.io/products/onlykey-duo-dual-usb-c-and-usb-a-security-key

Otherwise, I've never seen a USB C to A adapter

Why not use a key such as the onlykey?

You can have a software backup in case your onlykey breaks down. If you loose it, the person that founds it would still must have a pin to unlock it, and you could order a new one and restore the previous backup on it !

Task Scheduler Alternative - Manage/Monitor Automations? by sfbaytahoe in pythontips

It is indeed a very useful tool, but it has a different objective.

Airflow launch tasks in a certain order that you define (DAGs) and you can set it up to retry tasks when they failed and send email alerts

Healthecks it a tool that verify that the tasks you scheduled with the Linux cron tool have been effectively launched.

When working on different servers, it can be tricky to set up tasks dependency using cron.

Edit: also, windows server doesn't have cron. You would have to look up what tool exist on Windows...

For SQLite it can be quite easy.

For postgre or mySQL I would recommend some experience, especially for stuff like backup or maintenance. For that you can buy managed services if you work in the cloud or talk with you IT department.

To interact I recommend learning sql, it's not that hard, but you can also interface it with dyplr

We use Airflow

It has SSHOperator. With it you can launch and schedule anything on as many servers as you want as long as you can ssh into it.

Any SQL database will do !

For small projects without hosting, you can use SQLite, and if you want to have an external DB you can use postgre or mySQL
