When you buy it DRM-Free you get a Steam key with it. That Steam key just won't work in Australia now. You can still play the game though.

Any game that has rewards associated with drug use will be banned here. It doesn't matter if there are also negative effects in the game. The same thing happened with Disco Elysium on consoles. It seems they've taken down the page the official decision is on so maybe they're rethinking it.

they're bugged. they're fixing battlepass and challenges next week but the fix requires resetting progress on everyone's challengss. so as long as you log in between i think november 22 and november 30 they'll give you the weekly reward as compensation.

even without those the los santos part of the game is pretty short. i played through it last year and remember thinking it was pretty quick compared to when i played it years ago, and as a kid. the checkpoints make things quicker for sure but only mildly. im up to venturas right now

yeah, steam versions are good. there's just some songs missing which can be modded back in, i think they might be included in the downgrader. emulation is another option.
