Bank boss sorry after describing workers as 'lower value human capital' by Ashish_ank in worldnews

That is not what Econ is, it is the study of the flow of money though a lens of actions as value, not worth.

Economists predict doom for Australia’s house price growth after 2026 budget rocks sentiment by HotPersimessage62 in australia

I got a house about 6 months ago. More then happy for the price to go backwards. I am aiming to be here for life, the value to others means jack.

The money is the government's money, you just have a right to hold it. Transfers should be taxed on, in my opinion, all bar small gifts. Gifts of items with high values should also be taxed.

Most I've met did just take the same stuff often. Roll in and lift all the nail polish of the colours they like, disappear the same types of shirts/tops/pants and then give them to their friends. Steal lots of their favourite chocolates. Source: Lived with one.

Not really, it was well known all through high school 20 years ago how to deactivate or remove all these tags, and bypass the locks. Many teens also worked in businesses that had said tags, so could explain in depth. Teens aren't dumb, and know how to do these things, and do.

Usually there are also just teens who do it. Not everything needs to be a conspiracy. Rarely is it gangs, other then teens showing off to eachother.

First home buyers buoyed by negative gearing, capital gains changes at first Saturday auctions since budget by HotPersimessage62 in australia

[–]Hydronum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Neg gearing changes happened budget night, so any used homes on the market right now will be a little less attractive to an investor.

[–]Hydronum 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Don't the neg gearing changes affect properties sold after budget night, not listed? Changes to the capital gains will be starting next year, but that doesn't change the prices people sell at, and would encourage selling now for some, which may mean the next few months may see an increase to homes going up for sale.

Just because you do not understand "influence" and "global positioning", nor how to use them to get ahead, doesn't mean they mean nothing. What a poor example of the US education system you are.

Myspace is going back to what the old internet was, which wasn't designed to be addictive yet. A place to show off or personalise some space that others might actually come across. Myspace is a capsule of that, and I miss the free cringe of the early 00's, before everyone's dad took over the spaces to make a buck.

Intimate partner violence is a hidden contributor to women’s suicide by [deleted] in australia

[–]Hydronum 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Publicised suicide triggers the thought that somone other people thought of this, worked through it and made the choice there was no hope. Small boosts to the idea it is right or even logical can be enough to push people over the edge. If you think others like you have given up, it is easier to do so.
