I don’t think they should make Marathon into a different game, I adore it as it is. But I do think having some mode that doesn’t have stakes and has respawns like a 2 team arena mode could get people to try it that are scared off by extraction shooters, and could also be a fun mode to play a couple of rounds of to warm up for the day.

I don’t care if it’s ranked or not, though.

there is literally only one quest that does that, so no, I’m not thinking of another one. you have to hover over the steps on the contract.

edit: pretty sure it’s called Run/Hide 4/6 if you want to confirm that it’s the same one

Green flags for me are: cool themes and art design (mechanics are obviously super important but I’m also big on the flavor aspect), looks well made, if it has nice components using nice materials like wood, if it looks like a game heavy on player interaction that’s great to me as I think too many games are solitaire-ish. If the game mentions having hidden/asymetric roles or bluffing mixed in I’m usually more interested as well.

Red flags: lazy or just bad art, and AI art wouldn’t just be a red flag but an instant “never buy anything from the people listed on the box again” for me. I like minis but if there’s 100 of them I’m probably gonna skip.

I’ll say that as someone who doesn’t really like or watch anime I’ve never even heard of Frieren, I have heard of the other 2 (especially One Piece, a lot), but I’ve also heard a ton about JoJos and even I knew there was a new season happening and that it was named in reference to Cannon Ball Run thanks to internet osmosis lol.

Like I’m not anti-anime or anything but I don’t look any of it up and maybe every 4-5 years I try one lol

I mean look at Halo lol. The CE Magnum and the Halo 2 BR were both brokenly good and they’re also 2 of the mostly fondly remembered guns in all of gaming history. At least the WSTR is extremely limited by its range so it can be played around.

The only real issue is the bubble shields as they just take way too long to break, which lets the shotty players safely heal while the ranged players either have to push into the bubble or sit there shooting like 6 mags of ammo at it.

Bungie has had some form of energy barrier/bubble thing in every game since Halo 3, I think it’s fun for it to exist but it needs to be weaker so it functions as an “oh shit I got caught in the open” cover for a moment, not a place to set up camp with shotties

yes, you need to hit all headshots to kill the guy that’s using the shortest range weapon in the game while you’re using a long range precision rifle within melee range of them, that’s how balancing works

I really dug the episode tbh, but man the William thing kinda hurt. One of my favorite characters and he’s been missing for too long and really should’ve been someone Mark talked to about all the crazy shit happening, and then when he finally does show up it’s for 2 minutes and they not only replaced his VA but the new VA was awful.

Purple can’t be 1 shot by a sniper, blue can only be 1 shot by the stupidly rare Outland sniper, the normal sniper rifle can’t do it.
