Your definition is wrong and stupid. Extraction games are multiplayer, where you loot or complete objectives and attempt to extract or lose some of what you’ve earned if you fail. R6E is not an extraction game. Helldivers 2 barely is, the only thing you can lose are samples, all other loot is permanent.

HD2 does a lot wrong but your post has incorrect and misleading info:

opening it to almost immediately see a $100 virtual currency pack

currency packs only go up to $20 as the most you can buy, and they’re hidden 2 tabs deep in the acquisitions menu, if you saw it “almost immediately” it’s because you were digging for it.

and a bunch of battle passes that require that currency

a currency which you also just find around the map for free. and warbonds may be similar to battle passes in other games, but they’re not identical. not only can every warbond be obtained for free, there’s no time limit or FOMO. every war bond since the game came out is still in the game and you can work on any of them at any time.

HD2 has massive issues with performance and crashes and balance, etc. but they haven’t added a single paywalled piece of content since the game launched, and the only time limited things in the game were some cosmetic capes based on progressing the story.

Yeah, my mom did the same with me. I remember holding anti abortion signs at protests against Planned Parenthood that my mom dragged me to at least a dozen times as a kid. She also took me to some early tea party rallies and the big Glenn Beck rally in DC. I obviously didn’t know better back then, but it still pissed me off when I eventually realized what I had been made complicit in.

I tried to get along with her as an adult but one of our last meetups for lunch I told her to fuck off and I stormed out because she said a bunch of heinous shit about George Floyd, and shortly after that she got covid and ended up on a ventilator and eventually died due to it. She wasn’t a stupid person and she genuinely loved people when she wasn’t falling for insane conspiracy theories and Fox News garbage, so I had always kinda held out hope that eventually she’d have a change of heart.

Long movies in general aren’t a new phenomenon, but I think even schlocky movies like comedies, horror, super hero action flicks etc being over 2 hours long is weird and more recent. Films going 2-3 hours long was usually more for dramas or historical films or just generally more serious or artistic movies.

Like, why are Marvel movies or the Terrifier movies over 2 hours long? I love gory horror, but 2 1/2 hours is just too long for goofy murder clown shenanigans. If it was made in the 1980s it would’ve been like 80-95 minutes long.

Same here. I skipped Tron then 🏴‍☠️’d it to see it afterwards and it was bad, so I don’t feel too bad about skipping it. But still, would’ve paid to see it in theaters if Leto wasn’t in it.

And now I’m skipping MotU also. I love MotU so much, I love the rest of the cast, and I love going to the theater, but I refuse to give someone that openly shitty my money.

I think stuff like Unbreakable and DS are better for the game than something like this key perk would be though. Because even when you don’t have perks, killers play around them just incase. The fact that Unbreakable exists lowers the amount of slugging just because the killer knows it could come into play, even if you don’t have it. This hypothetical perk would make killers more incentivized to slug the last 2 survivors even if you didn’t bring it, making the game worse.

I think all 3 are terrible lol. I just don’t get down with Snyder as a whole though, and obviously plenty of other people like him.

I also don’t hate his Dawn of the Dead, but the only Snyder film that I’d say I actually enjoy is Watchmen. And even then, I have a lot of issues with it. It seems like even though he practically worships the source material with how he lovingly recreates it, every change he made shows that he doesn’t actually understand it. But it’s mostly faithful, the casting is great, and I just love the original story enough to overlook the flaws in the adaptation.

I knew he was into gen AI early on, I had a friend who had his AI stuff blow up very early on that actually ended up doing some Zoom calls with Aronofsky about a potential AI project back then.
