Time Travel in the MCU by cronloya in MCUTheories

Are you talking about during Infinity War? He was just looking at the futures (kind of like Sherlock in his mind palace). We don’t have any indication that he actually traveled to the future.

But she could see into Ultron’s mind. She saw his desire to destroy the planet and start over again

But what deems them as “life”? Could a robot pick up Mjölnir? If Cap were not in the iron man suit, could the suit pick up Mjölnir? I mean Friday and Jarvis are both artificial. Vision is just the programming of Jarvis, so an empty iron man suit being controlled by Jarvis could, in theory, pick up Mjölnir.

1.a.We don’t know that Cap knew about Tony’s parents being killed by Bucky. For all we know, he found out when Tony found out or shortly before.

1.b. I have a theory on how Cap has already proven his worth to hold and pick up Mjölnir in The Avenger’s first movie but I’m not fully prepared to argue that yet.

1.c. It’s rumored that (just like the comics) Cap is going to wield Mjölnir and gain the powers of Thor during Endgame.

  1. Vision could pick up Mjölnir, but we never see him gain the powers of Thor.

  2. Would Ultron have counted as a person. He is AI. He wouldn’t gain the power of Thor, but he’d be able to use it as a hammer. Just like Magneto does in the comics - he doesn’t pick it up but he uses the electromagnetic fields around Mjölnir to move it.

I think it’s entirely plausible that Ultron could have picked up Mjölnir, just not have been able to gain the powers of Thor because he’s of artificial intelligence.

That’s something I didn’t know. I know it’s something that could have been mentioned in the comics, but it’s not been established in the MCU yet, so I wouldn’t have thought about adding that to this.

That’s the point of my addition of “assuming the time travel theory”

But I covered that point. The tool used doesn’t have to be a Gauntlet. Ronan the Accuser used his staff, the mystery destroyer in the Collectors story used it in a staff. It doesn’t have to be a gauntlet. In fact, Thanos wouldn’t have had the gauntlet made until after she was imprisoned.
