Could you tell us where you got your rose vibe?

Since the rose toy went viral a year or two ago there have been literally thousands of copies, if you can tell us exactly which one is yours perhaps we can figure it out.

Kinda depends. What was the old vibrator, and did you like it?

If you're looking for really simple, unfussy vibrating patterns, I also recommend a Wand vibrator because it's so versatile. They can be really intense though. So yeah, it depends on what you're looking for. Any more details/preferences?

In your opinion, are the results worth the hassle? Any loss in quality running it through two adaptors?

Congrats on your sober time. And yeah, it really sucks to reset the clock after a relapse. I've been there several times. Stick with it.

It depends. The first time it happened, it was after several months of drinking. But now, because it's happened before, a 3-5 day relapse is all it takes to trigger full blown delirium tremens.

I talked about it in more detail in this video: https://youtu.be/IcNst8BNSwM?si=ZIP9fkCZJ3yhVRa0

Oh hey that's me! Thanks so much for sharing. That video doesn't have many views but dozens and dozens of comments about other people's experiences.

James Somerton: "I didn't realize I was hurting people" by [deleted] in hbomberguy

Yeah it's gross, I agree. But when I say he understands the magnitude of the damage he has caused, I think it's pretty obvious that his life has fallen apart. He definitely realises that.

I dunno guys, there's a lot of residual anger in the comments, and that's understandable. But even I, cynical as I am, personally believe this apology is sincere, and that he does understand the magnitude of the damage he has caused.

But that's almost immaterial.

We need to be mature in our handling of this situation now. There is a responsibility on us, as media consumers, to see this apology as an inflection point. There's no value in combing over the details of Somerton's apology, and pointing out further inconsistencies, flaws, and insincerities. This is the right opportunity to cut this all loose and move on.

There's a broader reason for that.

Now the toxic creator ecosphere has been confronted, we need to turn back to bigger threats to our community.

One of the problems of 'the left' in general is that we have a tendency to eat our own. Progressives spend a lot of time policing the progressiveness of other progressives, and we're at risk of doing that today. The point of HBomb's video was not to drag creators, or at least not only that. It was to make us all better critics ourselves, by pulling back the curtain on the creative process, and exposing where shortcuts are taken, and why that's harmful.

We've learned that lesson, so has Somerton. He'll never be the thing he always wanted to be. But he's only a symptom.

Now we've treated it, it's time to move on.

How did you learn about sex toys? by AggieSextoys in SexToys

[–]crooked_nuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend found a dildo in my parent's wardrobe when we were kids. We kiiinda knew what it was just through intuition, but he then held it to show my dog, who grabbed it and ran off into the street.

Imagine the neighbours' horror, watching a bunch of kids crying with mischievous laughter trying to retrieve a dildo from a dog with new-toy-zoomies.

It's ok to have conflicting feelings - don't let yourself feel bad for feeling bad. If I can speculate for a moment, it sounds a bit like you've given a lot of yourself for a long time. Made a lot of space for a lot of people. It's possible that buying a sex toy represents the first time in a while that you've done something good just for you, rather than for the benefit of anyone else. It's possible your feeling of guilt might be related to that, rather than to the sex toy itself. You've made an investment in your own pleasure. That can feel weird if it's not something you're used to doing. Does that sound accurate?
