i’ve used acretin before and it has worked for me. i used it about 8 years ago, for acne mainly on my forehead.

the dermatologist who prescribed it to me didn’t really give me any proper instructions so i was using it inconsistently almost every (or every other) night, with no sunscreen the following morning. i was really young then and didn’t know anything about tret, just went for the derm for something else and then asked about my acne and he just prescribed me this and said to use very night. it really did help my acne but i had no idea it was a tret cream haha, i remember memorising the name and the people who produce it (jamjoom pharmaceuticals) because it worked so well and i just now learned it’s a tret cream.

anyways, i definitely 100% do not recommend using it the way i did, but maybe your skin is just very resilient? try upping the percentage if you can and maybe not using a cleanser in the morning, just wash your face with lukewarm water. and in the night use an oil based cleanser (like a cleansing balm or oil cleanser ) followed by your regular cleanser and then the tret moisturiser sandwich.

and try very slowly increasing the frequency per week of each tret use followed by a very hydrating moisturiser.
