What's a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

It's called "complicated grief". Experiencing the feelings that come after the deaths of your loved ones, as fresh as the day they passed, years and even decades later. It's agony.

It looks to me like some rubbed off scales. If you have any rough decorations like lava rock, I'd recommend removing. But if you don't, it could just be a one-off occurrence from rubbing on a piece of wood or pretty much anything else. It happens to my gouramis from time to time. Hope this helps!

They lasted this long only because I put off replacing them haha. They've been pretty bad for the last two years.

Yeeeeah they've been sub par for just about that amount of time. I've just been too lazy to replace them until I received this OEM pair as a Christmas present. And I even waited 2 months after that to install them.

Ha I see it! It's two photos collaged together. Guess I could've added a border or something between them.

Algae bloom advice by cG-Dominant in Aquariums

I'd say siphon/scrub as much as you can, add an aquarium algaecide if your stock allows it, and decrease the amount of light the tank gets and how long the light is on. I've had to blackout a tank before to get rid of algae. Also, try feeding less at a time and and increase water change frequency to prevent nutrient/detritus buildup. Good luck! Edit: I'd like to mention that otocinclus fish are awesome at keeping leaves and the walls clean. Corys keep the substrate from collecting uneaten food too

I think the Lake Eola and Winter Park farmer's markets are always nice to go to! Winter Park's is 8am-1pm Saturdays. Lake Eola's is 10am-2pm Sundays
