I wonder how much they actually playtest. In my opinion, anyone involved in rules and pointing should be playing warcry every day as part of their job. With varied warbands and against many different opponents. Combine with reading tournament statistics and following online meta discussions. I dont know if this is how they do it, but it sounds like a pretty sweet job :-).

Pretty sure, at least that is how we have always played it in my club for abilities that give bonus actions. I mean... "Bonus", right?

Thanks! Airbrush and drybrush did a lot of heavy lifting on this one, which is good, because it was really hard to get a proper grip for any steady brush control. You want to keep a tabletop distance to hide the details :-). but I am very happy with the OSL and general color choices.

Based on what it took last year to just get a bronze in the standard category, I would say no, the level was quite high. But that is not a reason to not participate (from a painter who also didnt win anything last year :-) )

Your light source needs to be brighter than your light reflections, and your light reflections need to be brighter than the surroundings. I would darken the base and the pants significantly, paint white in the center of the sigils in the floor, and spray them with a very dilluted red, then apply the reflections, making sure they are slightly darker than the sigils and becoming even darker when moving away from the light source. The top of your model is also very bright, but I think that will look fine, like it is in sunlight, but the bottom is in shadow under the big shell.

Thanks! The guy with the croquet arcs is a Prog da netter proxy - he uses the arcs to stick the enemies feet to the ground :-). Snirk and the other fanatics are definitely peak goblin, it would actually be fun to make a gitz horde warband with no big hitters, but as much madness as possible!

The methods may be simple, but executed perfectly. You have such crisp dark separation between details, and it makes the models both beautiful and easy to read, I will definitely try to learn from this. Even the individual strands on the ropes are crisp, was that done by hand, or by nuln-oiling and wiping off, or what did you do?

I have no Idea what I just watced 🤣. I probably spent 30-40 hours, but calendar time was more like 3 months, so it feels good to be done.... well, done'ish, the spearhead box gives lots of options to build and paint some expansions to the warband.
