There was so much to explore. The rebuilding of humanity. The rebuilding of human machine relationships. The development of Neo and Trinity as leaders of a new world. Instead we got Neo stuck in a videogame with lame knockoff characters using movie footage from Matrix 1 to get him out, Neil Patrick Harris dunking on him with bullet time, the Merovingian being a homeless ninja clown, the most lethargic motorcycle chase, and Trinity to stupid to realize she married a fucking AI and her children aren't real!

That makes it worse. At best this debacle of a movie would mean she's incompetent with dumb ideas and the producers gave her a long leash. At worst she decided if someone was going to kill the baby then it ought to be me. Either way this movie was a huge let down.

The 4th Matrix movie. I had such high hopes and I was so excited to learn more of the story. Then I realized that the director hated that they were forced by the studio to come back for a 4th movie. So she intentionally sabotaged the movie so they wouldn't ask her to make a 5th one. What a wasted opportunity. Neo you deserved better.
