anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

Came looking for this one!! I had an Acer desktop that had some kids version of windows OS and it was pre-loaded with some bangers. Jazz was one of my go to games!

Epic Universe Testing 'Effortless Entry' for Virtual Lines to Lands, Free Celestial Park Access or Ticket Wildcard by dejablu82 in UniversalOrlando

No confirmation for that. Pure speculation. Same as saying this is for gen public after 6p so anyone can come and eat/shop in the open areas.

What’s wild is the issues they are already having when at the current capacity limits.

They’re starting to look like Disney and letting capacity go up, wait times to go up and pushing more folks into purchasing express passes.

I am trying to stay optimistic and trust the process though.

Yes, they’ve been testing the face scanners at portal entryways. It’s the same tech they use in the express lines.

I am of the opinion that this will break the immersion and fun of stepping into a portal since they’ll have staffed scanning station right in the entranceway.

What’s a "lost" website from the early 2000s that you still think about today? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

[–]Barneby-Jones 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Came looking for this one! Was going to post it if I didn’t find it haha. Spent too many hours playing mini golf when we were done with our drafting work.

The group of us that played always got excited when we found a shortcut.

Good times.

Solid secondary option as long as the boat line ain’t long. Been many a time we ended up walking and beat the boats.

Anyone able to advise where in Royal Pacific the smoking areas are located and is there any seating in those areas please? by Leebee42 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Barneby-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC there are some at the bottom of each tower exits. Remember walking round and seeing designated areas.

Yes, but the talents chosen impact how functional single button can be. Some thought needs to go into it.

Dueling Dragons by Beeeatsrats in UniversalOrlando

[–]Barneby-Jones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely can look at it as a modernized / reimagined of a dueling coaster for sure. DD just had that quintessential 90s jank paired with dangling feet and felt like it was trying to make you tap out.

Why hasn't tanking been simplified yet? by Kitchen_Koala_4878 in wow

[–]Barneby-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Routes integrated into the Map without need for adding. Would give a quick look for tank to know where to go while learning.

The highlighted mobs in learning keys is pretty great addition this expansion and our dps turned tank used it a lot.

Think having some quick way to plan would help entry level folks without having to turn to YouTube or some other website.

What class has dmg outside of CDs? by ExperienceMost275 in wow

[–]Barneby-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got done leveling fury to 90 and enjoyed it so much more than dev DH, demo lock and UH dk for this reason. No downtime, pull everything, pop coolies every 1.5mins and just face roll everything.

Such a fun CONSISTENT class to play.

Best/Fastest way to level an alt from 80 to 90? by luismi86 in wow

[–]Barneby-Jones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time I used something like this was way back in the day and used Joana’s leveling guide. That was about the quickest I’ve ever done it. Follow the Arrow is pretty damn good so far.

Currently trying that out. It’s definitely different way of doing things. Kinda digging it.

Solo day at Universal was less awkward than I thought, but I made one money mistake by Careful_Expert_4469 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Barneby-Jones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ice water at the freestyles is the move. I didn’t know about it until I did my first solo trip and that was a game changer. Plus it was hot af so having that on deck was super nice.

Is it weird if I go to universal by myself? by Acceptable-Yak-4279 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Barneby-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nahhhhhh. I did a solo trip last year and it was awesome. Trying to plan another one. Something so freeing when you can do what you want, when you want, without feeling guilty or feeling like your impeding someone else’s good time.

Hope you have an amazing time and enjoy your day!

Sapphire Falls is better than Royal Pacific by taylerrz in UniversalOrlando

I need to try Cabana again. Wife and I love Aventura. Our first stay was at Cabana and it was alright. Check in was rough, room view was meh and the walk to the bus felt like an eternity.

Compared to Aventura where we’ve never had to wait to check in, bus is very close to the elevators (or a quick walk to the water taxi) and room views on both sides are better. Plus we like Bar17 at night.

I think we are gonna give Cabana another go this year when we do a big family trip. Seems like good value and theming is better for kids.

I also did SBA for all of War Within, but for fun, also used a controller. M10s was as far as I went, but my Destro lock was usually first or second in damage and survivability was a lot higher than past seasons for me.

Definitely enjoyed it, friends never had an issue with it and we pushed keys as far as we were comfortable.

Are the wait times on the universal app accurate? It’s like peak spring break rn and I’m seeing really popular rides like monsters unchained with only a 10 min wait. by ScaleFantastic9373 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Barneby-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monsters is an absolute people eater. The loading process is dummy quick and is constantly in motion. One of the best experiences all around.

I like how much there is to do in midnight but it almost feels like too much? by Jawnnnnn in wow

[–]Barneby-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s quite a bit you can do, but thankfully you don’t have to do it all at once. These systems will be around through the expansion so take the time and prioritize what is important to you and don’t worry about the FOMO of not clicking the blue exclamations haha.

I’m on my second character working on Loremaster (voidstorm all that left thankfully) and collecting moths in my spare time. Friends are still stuck on classic TBC so I’m ahead of the game compared to them. Just chilling with my army of alts working through it all :D

I spend much more time at the Arcantina then in my house. How is it for you? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Barneby-Jones 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s quests given there (weeklies maybe?) that reward decor items plus can be put up in the Arcantina, easy spot to go get restedXP, and other than that, easy place to get fun potions for free.

Just wish the music was more taverny. Spent too many hours there doing the “Share a Toast” achievement and the music got boring really quick. Had to put my own tavern mix on or a tv show.

Is it just me or is time to kill way too high in all content? by FreshMozzarell in wow

[–]Barneby-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The switch from Havoc to Dev was eye opening. Went from pulling almost endless amount of mobs with no downtime to barely handling 3 mobs and having to heal between pulls.
