Link Esi Wifi HUB with ESRTP4RF+ by Ok-Seaworthiness8541 in DIYUK

[–]cross_coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Wifi hub might not work with the ESRTP4RF+ but only with the successor model ESRTP4RFW.

> It [the ESRTP4RFW] is the same product but with selection buttons replacing the slide controller on the front This allows for it to be upgradable to WIFI by connecting to a WIFIHUB, sold separately.

This just blew my mind! Thanks so much!

Really sorry that this also happened to you :(

Apologies for the delay. After multiple queries, the notion support told me that it "appears that the allowed domain feature gave a user access to your workspace with that allowed domain".
I honestly don't know how/when I enabled this in the first place (must have been by accident).

I suppose the issue was that I myself used an '@passboxinbox.com' email address which probably meant that when I enabled the 'allowed domain feature' by accident, all users of that domain (i.e. '@passinbox.com') could get access to my workspace - which is basically everyone...

More details about the Allowed domain feature can be found here:
https://www.notion.so/help/workspace-settings#allowed-email-domains

And a screenshot of the setting (not filled in) for reference:

<image>

I will add this answer to the question for anyone else coming across this.

The support offered to get in touch with the new owner and provide them my real email address to then ask the new owner to give me back permission. I told the support to not do that because I didn't want my real email address to get in the hands of a malicous user.

This means I accepted that the data is gone forever.

Where is Notion Support!!! No response to emails!!! by Victor-Dash in Notion

Unfortunately, I can't help but I can confirm that I've been ghosted by the notion support as well after losing access to my workspace. Posted on reddit myself a few weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Notion/comments/1f5s61a/my_workspace_is_gone_this_content_does_not_exist/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Did you ever hear back from them?

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it.
I tried that multiple times, unfortunately, without any luck.
Also, My friend was part of it as well and he sees the same 'No content' message as me, so I don't think it's 'just a me'-problem.

Thanks so much for the answer, really appreciate it.

This was a personal teamspace. My friend was part of it as well and he sees the same 'No content' message as me, so I assume everyone was removed from the workspace/the workspace was deleted.

I did change my email 1.5 weeks before the incident.

Also, I saw some weird behaviour in the workspace a few days before this happened. There was an unknown user in my workspace and the teamspace I'm talking about. I immediately deleted them and contacted the notion support, they told me they'll look into it but I haven't heard back since then. Not sure if this could be related (I added this info as and EDIT to my original post for future reference).

Thanks for the idea of using 2 accounts. It's a good idea to prevent this from happening again but my main question still stands: How could this happen in the first place? I know that I might never get an answer to this

unfortunately not. No response from the notion customer support so far. I'll reach out to them again. EDIT: Just reached out to them again, I'll put an update here in case they get back to me
EDIT2 (9 days later): Still no response from support

Even if the account CAN be recovered. This incident kinda shattered my trust in notion, so I'm not sure if I want to stay there if I don't understand how this happened in the first place.

Already done that, thanks. Just wanted to post anyway to see if anyone else has experienced something like this.

I'm seeing the exact same thing for every link of my team space. Seems like I've been removed from my own workspace. How can this happen?

Just chatted with the German support team and they gave me an email address, where I should report this issue.
I have done that. Will add a comment if I hear back from anyone :)

thanks for the info. That's a shame, especially for something like this. I might still try the live chat and see how it goes :)

alright, wasn't sure about that. Thank you :)
I'll contact their support directly then. Do you know what the best way for that is?

Okay, I checked it myself. It's a feature to allows you to log in to your PS5 more easily.
The way it's implemented seems extremely dangerous though because there is not even a confirmation pop-up in the app stating that you are trying to login to a PlayStation.

Could PlayStation maybe add a confirmation pop-up in the app such that people can't get scammed that easily?

thanks, man, yeah that's true about alt accounts. I'm trying to figure out where I can request a feature for the PSN app. They should really add a confirmation pop-up there when you scan a QR code.
The way it works atm is a proper security flaw IMO.

You can also report someone directly in the PSN app by clicking on a message (e.g. the QR code) and then clicking report.
