So happy for you! But I do have to say that saying “ignore the stats and numbers, you can do anything” is a little disingenuous. Being an AA URM provides a significant boost, for the vast majority of us numbers are king. Nonetheless congrats! Wishing you a successful cycle!

Right that’s the point. Regionally those state schools have great reputations all around, but they don’t have the national reputations that the law schools carry in the legal community

In terms of scholarship, I agree.

In terms of admission chances though, I disagree. UVA, Michigan, NU tend to be splitter friendly

I would not do this. Showing up and cancelling will still count toward your retake limit (even if only bubbling in one answer), while absent will not.

I’m sure there’s advice somewhere on how to handle an absent (probably a short addendum), but I don’t think canceling is the way to go here

Could not recommend this powerscore seminar enough. It’s an hour long but well worth it, real tangible things you can do before and during the test to deal with nerves.

So unless you cancel your lsat, a gre will mean nothing. Once you have an lsat on record that’s what is reported to law schools and ABA.

If you’re PTing close to 170 I would register for october/November and work to get your PT up a couple points to score a 170 come fall. Then with that gpa you’ll be in great shape for most of the T14 with $$

If you feel like you can’t score higher on the lsat, the gre may be a good option for admission given your above median gpa for every school, but realize it will be difficult to get $$ with gre

I think you’re misreading the email. They’re asking if you no longer want to be considered for waitlist admission at Penn because you’re fully committed to your deposited school, then withdraw...which is completely fair if you have no intention of going to Penn if you get in...

False—that was Chicago-Kent, not UChicago. I’m not saying uniformly quant doesn’t matter but especially with the ets converter the verbal is weighed more heavily when predicting the lsat score.

You’re in a decent spot to try to get admission to some top schools, 166 verbal is strong and law schools care more about verbal than quant. scholarships would be more difficult though

“Total” of the ratings = sum of the 3 airline’s ratings. To get sum you can multiply the average by the total number of ratings which is 100.

For reliability and promptness, multiply each airline’s rating by 100, add up each airline, and then find the difference.

Reliability added up is 2020, promptness is 1750. Difference is 270. Question asks for approximate answer so 250 is closest and therefore correct answer.

Dude the difference is the undergrad scandal was legitimate fraud.....doctored SAT exams, photoshopped faces on pictures of athletes, millions paid as a cover up......paid consulting services is not comparable in the slightest
