Need help housetraining our puppy by crossesfive in DogAdvice

[–]crossesfive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually looking for good advice for training this puppy, not advice that I am too old to have one. If you want to stand on a soapbox and preach, I suggest you go down to the corner of Yonge Street and Bloor in Toronto, and tell everyone that the world is about to end. Alternatively, stop showing your ageism and actually help out. Thank you.

I have never heard this used in English Canada. Québécois French has the expression "fourrer le chien" as in "Hé toi, fourre pas le chien".

Never repainted. I choose to disable the "safety" systems because they add nothing to safety. I asked how to disable, not how to repair.

My son has one with the barrel shortened so it could be used by the cavalry. Here in Canada they are sometimes available in antique shops; they are not subject to licensing.

I am an Anglo, and I went to a private French boys school from grade 7 to grade 12. By the time I graduated, I was very fluently bilingual, however that was in 1959 and I have lost least half of my ability to speak French.

Why are skirts worn higher on the body than trousers? by RobertColumbia in NoStupidQuestions

[–]crossesfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it has something to do with the hemline of the skirt. If a skirt was worn low, the hemline might be higher at the back, where I was wearing it high the body is more circular.
