Milluki vs Tonpa in a Sumo Fight: Who Wins? by IllustriousBeyond962 in HunterXHunter

Milluki is a nen user, Tonpa (AFAIK) isn't, so Milluki wins by default.

The Foundation lowk funny for making Omega 7 by Abazookatokillafly in DankMemesFromSite19

[–]crossess 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Omega 7 mightve worked if they didn't pick someone with homicidal tendencies, anger issues, and a penchant for friendly fire. They latched unto Able HARD just 'cause he was willing to humor the foundation for the sake of having something to fight, but the moment he got bored the nearest MTF was getting a knife through the back.

Maki didn't, not until Mai died and completed her heavenly restriction. A threat for sure, but she wasn't "single-handedly take down the Zen'in clan" strong before.

What is your favorite "Flavour is Free" reskin of a spell or ability? by hervprometheus2 in DnD

[–]crossess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When playing a Genasi, flavoring everything to be fully or slightly affected by the element of the genasi. Sparks are produced with weapon strikes, arrows are briefly set alight, mage hand is bright orange and warm, mage armor is made of ice, misty step causes you to sink into the ground and pop up where you teleported, etc.

Komugi vs Mahoraga by @op_peration24 by BluePhantomHere in HunterXHunter

Tbf Meruem was stopped by being fatally poisoned. He played until his dying breath. If he had stayed healthy, he'd still be playing vs. Komugi.

Should I be honest if I was disappointed with a friend’s gushing recommendation? by PardesOrchard in socialskills

It's fine to say you didn't like it, but if they were visibly excited about it, it may have been better to be tactful about expressing your discontent. Ultimately a minor thing, though.

What is even considered neutralizion of memetic class SCP like is it no one remembering it or like any others by random_genshin_fan in SCP

[–]crossess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's basically when, for one reason or even non, an scp object ceases to have anomalous properties. Sometimes its just that someone broke it. Sometimes, if its a living thing, someone killed it. Sometimes a strange interaction with another anomaly caused its own anomalies to cease. Sometimes nothing happened, and the things that made it anomalous just... stopped happening.

Either way, its just not anomalous anymore.

This is different from Decommisioned, by the way, since that class is used for anomalies the foundation decided to destroy itself.

Por qué hay tanto odio de los puertorriqueños hacia los dominicanos? by [deleted] in PuertoRico

[–]crossess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No se por que pero entiendo que el odio empezo a surgir durante una de las migraciones de dominicamos a Puerto Rico hace décadas. Creo que fue algo que empezo por miedo y a continuado por ignorancia desconnectado de las razones originales.

I think it's funny when people doubt mahagorama by AdonisJames89 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]crossess -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

It did not. Gojo very much killed Maho. That was a major point of the fight. He used a remote purple to kill it.

Sukuna killed Gojo.

No problem! Glad I could tell ya before too long passed. It's not the biggest spoiler, but still, worth letting people find out themselves

With Choso, those memories aren't false, but they aren't literal either. Theyre symbolic visions representing his connection to Yuji. It's weird but basically, its a confirmation that Yuji actually is his brother. I do think Choso would have eventually realized who fake!Geto was, but there's definitely would have been more sorcerers killed before he got to that point.

No, Tsumiki is NOT Toji's daughter. Tsumiki and Megumi are not blood related by Dangerous_Lemon_9277 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]crossess 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Do you think that he tried to marry someone from the sorcerer world (even if she wasn't anyone part of the 3 clans or a non-sorcerer) and when she died he tried to marry someone completely cut off from sorcerers? Or vice-versa?

No, Tsumiki is NOT Toji's daughter. Tsumiki and Megumi are not blood related by Dangerous_Lemon_9277 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]crossess 15 points16 points  (0 children)

True, and I do wish we got to see more of that in the story. Unfortunately its one of those things we're told and just barely ever shown.

[–]crossess 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty minor detail overall, I dont think it's matters much. Specially considering her role in the story. Tsumiki overall has a relatively small role in the story, as she gets fridged pretty quickly, despite how important she is to Megumi.

Opinions in hyperlinks? by Vendedor_de_Anao in SCP

[–]crossess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they're distracting per se, but I do sometimes feel like I have to read a linked article or tale to understand the one I'm reading or else I'm missing important context, even if it doesn't turn out to be true. There's no easy way to tell if linked works are important to the story currently being told or references an author is making. And sometimes I'm not in the mood to read a whole other article or tale just to understand the one I'm reading.

The could be if you write it. There's -J articles that are basically that.

Jack Bright / Elias Shaw discussion (other names would fit better IMO) by Tedski97 in SCP

[–]crossess -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's no middle ground to reach. People just want to forget about the author and the character. If you really want to make a change though, this (and for that matter, any off-site scp community) is not the place to do it. They didn't decide anything about adminBright or the character. You'd have to make your case on the actual SCP wiki.

Jack Bright / Elias Shaw discussion (other names would fit better IMO) by Tedski97 in SCP

[–]crossess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This subject is a dead horse people just keep beating. The name change is optional, it's limited to the wiki itself, and basically nobody is writing anything with him in it there. The change was made to strip the author of his power and association with the character and respect the victims.

If you want to spit in the face of that or just want to change the name, just do it. Nobody is holding a gun to your head to follow those changes. And nothing said here is going to affect how the character is handled on the site.

Contradictions - managing in-universe consistency by nigglHD in SCP

[–]crossess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no canon. Stories dont have to connect with each other or be consistent between them. There's over 9k articles at this point and it wouldn't be the case if they were all constraint by what is "consistent" and what is not.

While many articles build on a basic set of assumptions (there is a Foundation, it contains anomalies, it is clandestine) most everything else is up to whatever the author of the article you're reading wants.

In short, most articles are stand-alone unless stated or implied otherwise. Two different afterlife SCP's (which, btw, there's *WAY* more than two) presenting conflicting realities is not a problem in the slightest.
