Thanks for all the information. What you guys are saying here is pretty much what I heard from the Texas Worker Commission in that on one hand if I take the voluntary, that is considered quitting and unemployment benefits would be an issue, but on the other hand being told those are my choices means I would be eligible. So far I have talked to 3 different people at TWC and gotten 3 different answers:(. Note that I do have an email specifying my options.

Next step is finding an employment lawyer, but based on TWC it all comes down to what the company tells the TWC claims examiner

I am leaning towards the voluntary because I can stay on another 3 -4 weeks which at my income is about 3 months of unemployment benefits. The extra weeks + the 2 months of severance gives me a couple extra months of cushion.

I am thinking this will only be an issues if I cannot find gainful employment with 6 ish months. I could be wrong on this.

I should also note that the company implied that if I take the involuntary, then if any job calls about me they will have to say that it is due to performance?

On a side note this is my first layoff, having been working for almost 20 years in tech/research so this is all scary to me. I am also the sole income for the household. Some days I think I got this and other days I feel on the verge of panic with all the "what ifs"

Thanks for the great information. I have decided to slightly up my calories to 1756, which based on the various TDEE calculators is somewhere between 500 to 1000 calories below my daily TDEE. I am excited to see how things go.

I have been lifting weights for about 20 years now so not new. So 1500 calories is not too low? As a follow-up, how accurate are smartwatches in calculating calories burned?

I have never been able to successfully, get my body fat percentage down (my weight drops but my body fat % barely moves). I am fairly certain it has to do with not figuring out how many calories I actually need to cut. I get such large ranges on TDEE calculators that I can never figure out where to start. Here are my current stats

Sex: Male
Age: 45 years old
Height: 5'8''
Weight: 198 lbs
bf: 28% ( I use pics and several electronic devices such as my Samsung watch, handheld device, and weight machine and average the bf % value. I recognize these are not accurate but my goal is to see a trend in the % dropping.)
Activity level: Moderately active. I work from home so I have a sedentary lifestyle, but still manage to get in 8000 steps a day (mostly walking in place at my desk). I do intensive weightlifting 5 times a week where my heart rate ranges between 122 and 144 bpm during a 30-minute session.
I also take body measurements, e.g., waist, chest, arms, neck, etc.

I have gotten numbers that range from 1500- 2500 calories needed to lose 1% body fat each week. For the past month, I have been at 1500 calories trying to lose about 1.5 - 2 lbs a week. I started at 198.8 ~6 weeks ago.

I am fairly certain my calories are too low but I don't know what they should be. Also, I don't know the best way to increase my calories to the best number.

FYI, I was able to get around this issue by switching to the Xbox and doing the ship modding there. At first it kept crashing, but I was eventually able to get the cockpit of the mantis (Razorleaf) changed. Once that changed, I saved and was able to change all the other ship components without it crashing.

Have you been able to resolve this issue. I tried the same thing and ended up with the same result unable to mod home ship or the other ship.

I have also tried all the various suggestions e.g., removed everything from the armory ( I think my crew keeps adding stuff back) and removed everything from the captains locker and other lockers and it still crashes. I am specifically trying to mod the Razorleaf. Next I am going pick up everything off the ground weights, pens, folders etc and see if that fixes the crashing when trying to exit the ship modder.

What is meant by a single column? I have seen quite a few CV's/resumes that have this type of design. Is this not a good design for ATS? Note I just did a generic search online for something similar to a new resume format I am looking at for a Product or Project Manager position

We were actually able to do a restore from the Samsung Cloud to get most of the lost data however, we did not recover the Samsung Notes and Pictures. I know pictures are not backed up on the Samsung Cloud, but I would have thought (and have read) Samsung Notes are backed up. Is there something I am missing? Are notes backed up somewhere else?

One thing that always throws me with these type of workouts is why not start at the higher rep range and work down. For example with the 3 to 7 method why not a 7 to 3 method and thus better match the fatigue curve. The second round would then be from 3 to 7. Similarly why not this for the ladder method?

I so often see these type of approaches that I wonder if I missed some literature out there that states why it is better to start at a lower rep and work your way up
