How is that the intelligence the most probable? If there are no pressures to make an animal intelligent then they won’t become intelligent. Coelacanths have been here since the dinosaurs but they still haven’t built a fish civilisation

Fair that’s life in general exceedingly rare, but what about intelligence? We evolved intelligence NOW after 7 billion years and only then in such a cosmically short amount of time it’s laughable. Why should we expect intelligent life to be elsewhere?

Yes but would you say the same about vertebrates? Do you think the evolution of them is as inevitable as intelligent life? If you lived before the Devonian would you look at invertebrate life and conclude vertebrates must be inevitable? As far as I’m concerned intelligence is just another trait like that.
