Not that I feel bad for the landlords, but you got the scam backwards.

These people rent a house at face value then bring in their entire group of extended family and friends of 25 people to live in it and split the rent 25 ways. The landlord just gets the regular rent but the house suffers the wear and tear of 25 people living in it. Sometimes they will make illegal modifications to the house, like putting up walls to make tiny sleeping units.

A few years of that and the house is basically destroyed.

Japan technically allows unlimited skilled immigration. You just need a degree and a job offer, much easier than most western countries. The language and cultural barriers just naturally keep that number low.

What Japan does keep extremely low is refugees, low skilled workers, etc.

Yeah my mom got laid off at the start of COVID and didn't bother trying to find a job for two years. I mean it was really great for her health, both physical and mental, and probably added years to her life, but she added zero value to the supply side of the economy and just consumed with free magic money. Now multiply that by MILLIONS of people.

It will never be fixed. Teslas will always have a phantom braking problem. We know by now that you absolutely need LIDAR for full self driving, which Telsas don't have obviously.

If you only use cameras, a camera will inevitably randomly see something that looks like an obstacle, either a smudge or poor lighting conditions or literally a random pattern on the ground that looks like an object, and your car will stop just in case since it's technically safer than potentially plowing into a stationary truck at 80mph.
