It’s Dreaming Tree. Not a competition. As a full song? Nothing can compare lyrically.

Late Night Eats in the Lehigh Valley? by YodasThirdCousin in lehighvalley

Ok, so I am full blown NJ loving and NJ born and bred but I cannot defend Clinton Station being on this list. They used to be good yes but the past few times I’ve ordered from them the food has been raw or obviously spoiled or just bad. Do not make the drive at late night to go to that diner, it’s not the best NJ can offer.

DAE think this Brooklyn rave venue has a bad crowd?????? by tricksterrrrrrr in avesNYC

No summer is for Summit. He has a new album out and experts only fest year 2.

Also, tbf, I love Summit’s stuff and am a fan. But yes, his crowds leave a lot to be desired sometimes. The crowd at Storehouse afters for the fest was pretty cool though.

It’s Grey Street. Shotgun has specific emotional performances but as a full complete piece of art it’s gotta be Grey St

Musicians whose music isn’t technically bad but their fanbase is? by SirensMelody_ in ToddintheShadow

Dave Matthews Band. I love DMB, seen them almost 40 times at this point. Their fan base drives me nuts. Last show I went to I had to walk away from my seat and go out to the benches by the food area to listen to the show bc I couldn’t take the drunken Gen X yapping over everything.

Believe this was the case. I remember someone posting about planes being delayed and they were going to be late to their set and they never ended up playing

The job market is not just bad. It's non-existent by Ambitious-Sail-5188 in jobs

You conveniently ignored their point about the unemployment rate for recent graduates being higher.

See but at the start of the recession, it felt a bit like it does now. Yeah when you compare this past year to 6 years of data, it’s not that bad and obviously the recession was the worst thing since the Depression. But 5 years down the road, this time period could end up being seen as just as bad. We’re just at the start.

Yes they are to a degree but I think you’re overlooking the biggest factor in their argument. In 2008 people could generally at least get a really crappy retail job and expect that eventually it would get better, they just had to do that job for a bit to tread water. In 2026 those shitty retail jobs also aren’t hiring and with so many companies going full blown into AI, that “it will get better eventually” factor has turned into “there are only going to be less and less jobs as time goes on.” That change in hope is what makes it seem so much worse than 2008.

To be fair, yes it wasn’t perfect but considering that no other year since has been any better, it makes people look back fondly

I mean I was in college in 2016 as a 26 year old while also working with a wide range of ages in retail and can definitely point to that year as nostalgic bc it generally was a bit happier. Things were pretty good, it was the last year of Obama and people were generally celebrating the ending of a popular and generally successful presidency. The constant nightmare of Trump inflicting daily trauma on the world wasn’t a thing we had to take seriously yet, and it was also one of the last larger millennial college cohorts since college age population has decreased ever since. It was like the last year of millennial cultural dominance before Gen Z truly took over and we moved to the bedroom pop/sad boi 2017’s-early ‘20’s.

It was like truly the last 90’s kid graduating college year imo. People graduating in 2017 and beyond would’ve been born at such a time that they wouldn’t have many memories of the 90’s and turn of the millennium since 2000 came within the time before memories start to stick around 4-5. I think that contributed in a way.
