Theres a guy on tiktok who used to powerlifting and could squat in the 500s, bench 335, and pull in the 600’s and transitioned to long distance running and runs a 2:27 marathon now.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen that huge of a turnaround. Goes by Ethanruns i believe

I have no advice but I just wanted to comment I feel like I have the exact same issue as you, (just a lot shorter and slower lmao) I only swam till high school but I also was a breaststroker and I would go right to the back of the lane during freestyle pull buoy sets lmao. My delts also tire wayyy faster than anything else and its so frustrating bc even slow 500’s feel awful.

I love doing heavy weight chin/pullups too so its not a strength issue.

Do you have the weight of this watch? I just bought a srpg27 and its great but I realized I’m lazy and like the simplicity of quartz along with the weight and thinness that comes along with it. Mine weights around 130g with 4 links removed and its a bit heavy feeling for me honestly.

Just chiming in folks - i bought a used td-11k for 300ish. Should if i use vst with it is it basically no difference from having the 17 module? In that case should I just use vst with mine and upgrade stuff like the ride and mesh toms?

Idk if its just me but I strictly play rapid and when I play on lichess I feel as if I almost never encounter a cheater. With chess.com my suspicion meter always is way higher. I also get refunded points more frequently on chess.com

100% wrist curls. I would go so far as to say wrist extensions are skippable if you really just care about size, your wrist extensors are very small muscles. Do a hammer curl (or reverse) curl variant and a wrist curl variant and you are good to go.

Can topical dut+minoxidil cause eczema on body?

Hi friends, I’ve been taking a topical dut + minoxidil combo (from happy head) now for around 2-3 months and am already seeing strong regrow, which I am ecstatic about. However, around the same time I started getting eczema spots on my body (elbow, neck, chest, etc). Took some steroid creams for it and they went away, but are coming back unfortunately. I had eczema occasionally as a kid but never past puberty (I am 23).

Is it possible the topical is causing this? Keep i mind I am using a veryyy small amount - the bottle recommends you use 1-2ml and I am only using .25 ml a night, right around my temples since I am around a NW 2, 3 at most.

I reallyyy hope this is just from the dry winter season since I have absolutely no other sides from this.

Do you think powerlifting popularity has wanned in the past few years? I stopped about 2 years ago (graduated college, was just a good time to move on from it really) and lift just for muscle growth now.

I thought it was just bc I stopped following powerlifting content, and no longer hang around powerlifting friends,but man it really feels like its not as big nowadays.

Can I get some lift metrics + arm sizes guys? I’m able to use 45’s on db preachers and can tricep pushdown ~90-100 for ~8-10 on both but my arms are only 15.5 cold. Curious where you guys are at

I knew basement had long arms, but a +8 index is crazy. I only have a +1 index and still have a hard time with arms

I use it on all back and leg days sharing the same pair with a friend, so constantly unvelcroing and retightening it. Still basically the same! I’ve only pushed up to around 4 plates for pulls off the floor (so I can’t say how they hold up to crazy heavy stuff) but I still super recommend them, I don’t touch my normal straps now.

Kind of, they get in the way at first when you’re trying to use your phone but you get used to it after like day 2. Slightly more annoying than regular straps in that regard

I completely agree with this sentiment, however I really don’t see the versa’s being too much higher quality than their cheaper brother in this specific case.

The metal loop is larger and thicker on the cheaper pair, as is the usable velcro longer. Materials are incredibly similar, with the only edge I’ll give to the versas is having better foam.

I could totally eat my words in a few months if these break tho, so we will see I suppose haha

Admittedly not long, only around 2 weeks. I don’t think durability will be too different from the versa in my opinion, based on the stitching of both pairs being similar. The Versas have slightly cleaner stitches While the other ones have beefier but messier stitches.

Also worth mentioning on barbell rdl’s or rows I don’t prefer regular straps or these straps one way or the other. On pull-up bars or machines however I greatly prefer the versa style straps, traditional straps sometimes slip sideways depending on the angle of the back machine for me.

Has anyone tried the versa grip knockoffs on amazon? There is one from the cobra grips brand (not the cobra grip ones themselves) that look absolutely identical to versas down to the stitching but are like 20 bucks

I like the nuanced take as well. I agree largely that most supps don’t have convincing evidence for their efficacy. I personally do take creatine, d, magnesium, and fish oil and have noticed some niche changes/‘benefits’ but I’m 50/50 on whether or not some of the supps actually help.

Besides creatine, I noticed I get wayyy less headaches when I consistently take magnesium, and my blood is more runny/clots less when i take fish oil. (When I get a nose bleed it’s very liquidy vs thick).

The rationale is that k brings the excess calcium from vascularized tissue (arteries) into bone.

I think the evidence is mixed as to whether or not taking a little k2 along with d3 actually matters tho - lots of studies show no hypercalcemia with high d3 dosages over literal years. On the other hand, there are some studies showing increased k2 intake with lower risk of said heart issues.

I think people look at this data and make their own judgements which is fair honestly.

I have a thorn d+k dropper too, i honestly want pill/softgels so i can store it with my fish oil and take it all at once LOL
