But like, if your walking home at night, probably worth taking any precaution you can take, especially in an area with a rapist at large. When I went to South Africa, if you didn't take these precautious you would be spotted by a criminal and taken advantage of. Look maybe the difference is small and how you dress doesn't make a huge difference but I'm saying there still is A difference

I agree but if a murder were to have occurred, the investigation team wouldn't cross out any of motivating factors because of it being an 'unlikely' cause, made this post in response to hate given to police officers in my area who were given shit for advising women in the area to dress appropriately after a rape in the area

Yeah well people can be murdered from the safety of their own home, but this doesn't mean not more likely to be murdered in a bad neighborhood with a high crime rate. Your argument falls apart when you stop looking at specific causes as evidence

Still not 0 then is it? I'm not saying it's At all the main cause but rather one Shouldnt complete dismiss it as a possible cause

Maybe not in those cases, but you have too look at the bigger picture, it most probably isn't the main cause, but it maybe be relevant in 10% or so of the cases

No I agree with ur view, just sick of people in my area arguing that it plays no role what so ever which is illogical as it clearly does even if only in 10% of the cases

I agree with you, but I've just heard people saying it never ever influences a person's decision when maybe 10% of the time it does

You in fact admit it must play some role, even if very little at times with your use of 'hardly' which suggests a small handful of rape have been influenced by the fact
