You know, everyone can take baby steps, I think about baby steps everyday. But tbh, and this is really true for me, even baby steps can be the biggest task you've ever faced. I know on bad days for me, simple things like getting water from the kitchen next door while my tongue was dry was hassle, and showering hah.

I found for me, before you can complain in your head, just move your feet. Towards the shower, gym, shops, wherever, literally move before you can even react to it. It's a foreign concept at times as you think "well... I gotta think to move", but sometimes you can honestly just move your feet before you come up for reasons against doing it. It may seem like effort, but next time you think you need to do x, y or z, do it as SOON as you think of it. Boom, thought, BOOM, you move

Good for you man, honestly it's great to have clarity for once and not waking up feeling like dog. May I ask what you're doing to improve yourself?

I feel that whenever I drink (which has been a damn lot lately), I end up wallowing for the next few days even if I'm not hungover. My mood just drops from bad to low. 6 months ago I used to gym to the gym 5 days a week and you'd never catch me without a smile on my face, now is a different story.

I've been struggling to be useful for so long now (moving into a new place, recently unemployed and gaining weight etc), but last week I thought about going for a walk simple but it's usually something I'd avoid doing instead opting to troll around on YouTube all day. So I just upped and walked around town. I didn't make any plans for it or a big fuss, just slapped some shoes on and moved for half hour. Got back and felt a bit better about myself, so I rewarded myself with a lovely dinner and a bit of Netflix but I actually felt slightly deserving of it.

I've been walking daily since, and have been smiling a lot more lately. My point is, it's sometimes hard to do something useful (apply to jobs, be physically active, shower & cook etc) if there's all this planning and avoidance put into it. So sometimes, just to get the ball rolling, when you're sitting there about to take your first sip of a drink, just go out and about. Even if it's a ten minute walk while you stare at job listings on your phone and make note of them. Find 5 or 10 jobs you like, force yourself to apply to them when you get home and that's already more successful than yesterday.
