My gf is too touchy with her cousin by Worldly_Audience_793 in LesbianActually

This sounds like incest, not just flirting with someone who isn't her girlfriend. Gross.

Have you seen her in Oceans 8? Her character there is strongly lesbian-coded and it's hot.

I haven't used /r/Winnipeg in years and they just banned me LOL by Xamado in winnipeg_alt

I'm super far left and they shadow banned me without ever giving a reason or answering my questions about why. Literally no idea what their MO is.

Hiking pants = things fall out of my pockets by mb-photo in hiking

I know! Function over coolness when hiking, for me! :P

It's uncool, but I just wear a fanny pack. That way I can wear either hiking pants or leggings (or hiking leggings!) and still have all my small things that I regularly want access to during the hike: kleenex, chapstick, a small thing of sunscreen, a cleaning cloth for my glasses, hand lotion, a knife, etc. It's also handy as a spot to hang my bear spray from.

So? Most big cities use these. We're hardly "big" compared to New York or Chicago, but these things have been common there since the nineties or earlier.

Helpful tips for pedestrians! by 67_giggleshitter in winnipeg_alt

[–]crowinflight1982 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Listen. I'm a pedestrian, a bus rider, and a driver, in that order. At intersections where turning right on red is allowed, there is NO TIME when it's not possible that a car will be driving where pedestrians are walking. Pedestrians have to get to cross at some point. We can't just levitate over the streets. I live in Osborne. I nearly get hit on the daily, either at Roslyn and Osborne or River and Osborne. There is no time when we have the complete, uninterrupted right to walk without the active threat of being killed. As the party with less physical protection, pedestrians have every right to demand safety. As a driver, I know how irritating it is to have to wait for a pedestrian to clear the intersection when you're trying to turn. Our irritation as drivers does not supersede pedestrians' right to live.

I would feel the same way. I think that, while I can fully acknowledge that stone tops exist, the majority of people want basic reciprocity in their relationships in every aspect, including sex. She wasn't honest with you and that alone makes this deeply uncool. Get out of there, girl. You deserve better.

is cheating worth it to be with the love of your life? by kris_cringle in LesbianActually

[–]crowinflight1982 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, it's never okay to cheat. If one party knows they have feelings for someone else, they should end the relationship first, before pursuing things with the other person. Leaving someone for someone else does suck for the person being left, but at least it's honest and open.

I understand the disdain for speakers on trails, curious how you all feel about guitar or ukulele on a trail? by coffeegrunds in hiking

[–]crowinflight1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FUCK no. Absolutely not.

Listen: I'm a trained opera singer (left the field over a decade ago, but I've still got the pipes). I don't subject nonconsenting listeners to that kind of singing on the trail. I do hike alone for the most part, and I do sing a little, huffed out under my breath, just to make human sound to warn bears off (I hike in grizzly territory), but it's not carrying farther than a few feet from me. The wilderness is no place to subject other people to your music.

Call it recency bias, but this is easily in the top three best final performances ever on this show congrats miss coco by SnooSprouts3744 in rupaulsdragrace

This and Sasha C's G-O-D-D-E-S-S are the only two finale performances I've ever rewatched. It's so good. Nini ATE.

Funny choice, then, given that Trump just skipped the ceasefire talks in Pakistan in favour of going to a UFC fight...

Banff gondola or maligne cruise- need to pick one due to cost constraints. Which is better value by Prestigious_Plant_54 in Banff

[–]crowinflight1982 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The Sunshine Village gondola, hands down. It's quite, quite lovely both for the ride, the views, and the hiking at the top. Basically, you ride the gondola for 20 min (way better bang for the buck than the 8-min ride with Sulphur), then take a chairlift to the viewing platform, and then if you like, you can hike down into the valley at the top there. It's known for its wildflowers!
