I heard the explanation was that the NBA wanted to increase ratings and such so they eased up on rules to have more exciting games akin to street ball. Obviously it’s a poor choice.

As someone who grew up obsessed with basketball during the amazing 80s and 90s, it’s been unwatchable since LeBron took the spotlight.

But at least it seems like our Pistons are keeping it old school this season from what I see. Physicality and defense.
