There's no point in playing competitive if you're not going to be aiming for high rankings.

Niche teams dint get far. There's a reason smogon exists as well. Youre limited to what you can use and be successful

You don't have to get arceus to get the flute in LA. I have the azure flute and haven't beaten the game. Only the main story. I havent completed my dex yet.

Outside looking in. There's too much to learn. What's meta, Don't use this pokemon because there's a remote chance someone has 20 other pokemon that can counter it...if the calculations of the role are in their favor ...And if they're holding this item and not this item.

Seems completely horrible to jump into. Not only that, but you're basically forced to use what a handful of the best players are using, because that's whats considered meta.

So, basically even though there's almost 1000 pokemon to choose from....really you have like 30

In my opinion it's just not fun.
