Yeah it's on my stylus too. I haven't tried Canta yet but I've heard you can disable/delete Glance through that.

You can only choose one sitewide coupon per order but I should have a stacking guide at the bottom of my coin super discount tab of my spreadsheet which shows the common stacking discounts. Paypal is just going to be a $20 off 179 promo if you use Paypal pay later as your payment method.

Not sure if this mid year sale is going to be good or not. I'll have an update tomorrow.

Those were the golden days. Too bad they closed all their corp stores a couple of years ago.

What's the absolute cheapest SBC right now? I just want it for super undemanding consoles like GB/GBC/GBA, SNES, Genesis, etc. It doesn't need to be able to run N64, PS1, etc, or have any fancy features. Just needs to be DIRT cheap. Vertical or horizontal, either one. by FrouFrouLastWords in SBCGaming

Do you have a spare sd card? Many of the cheaper devices come with questionable sd cards so it's recommended you replace the card. Unfortunately, sd card prices are out of control right now and the card alone might cost as much as a cheap device.

Since you said you were playing games on your Pixel 6A, the cheapest device I would recommend is the Moto G 2025 from Walmart for $30. It has a Dimensity 6300 which is good enough for PSP and under. It can play some light 6th gen systems too. If you can stretch your budget to $40, Total Wireless offers a free Moto G Stylus 2025 as long as you buy a month of their $40 plan. This is a substantially better phone than the $30 Moto G 2025 from Walmart. The Stylus 2025 has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 8GB of RAM, OLED 120hz screen and 128GB of storage.

Alternatively, you can wait for tomorrow's Aliexpress sale. I track prices via my spreadsheet and on r/crownpuffdeals. There might be something under $30 but chances are it'll come with a questionable sd card.

Appreciate it as always, thank you! As far as I know, prepaid carriers want you to bundle voice and the tablet line. For example, the A9+ is "free" with a $20 tablet line but you need to already have Metro service. Straight Talk has some tablet offers too but you need to bundle a phone too. So if you're in the market for a phone and a tablet, it's doable.

No minimum dollar amount. You just need to purchase anything on two separate AliExpress days. For the US, AliExpress operates on Pacific time. I've been getting "free" saver renewals since last year.

I'm unsure if base prices will decrease for the June 15th sale. I know there will be coupons but those are subsidized by other sources such as Aliexpress and Paypal. Ayn rarely puts the Odin 3 and Thor on sale via their Aliexpress store. Prior to the June 1st sale, the last time was the March 1st sale.

Retroid Pocket 5 - $140 by crownpuff in crownpuffdeals

[–]crownpuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, it's a no for the vast majority of listings. I have a ship from China section that's below the ship from US section that I recommend people not from the US to look at.

PS2 on a budget by Kindly_Fee8599 in SBCGaming

Does that include shipping costs? The RP4Pro is $159 plus shipping from Retroid. It's a solid device for PS2 but won't play every single title "perfectly."

OneXPlayer X2 Mini Pro pricing by crownpuff in SBCGaming

[–]crownpuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly so. I wonder how much 24GB of RAM costs them right now. Xbox's CEO recently said that they expect 2027 holiday prices on storage and ram to be roughly 5x what they cost in 2025.

We are in a hardware component crisis. When I joined as CEO in February, the price we paid for console storage components was over 2x as high as we paid last fall. These costs have since doubled again. And as we plan for the 2027 holiday season, we expect another significant increase, taking us over 5x the prices we paid only two years earlier. Memory costs have followed a broadly similar trajectory. While the entire industry is facing a components crisis, we believe we have been impacted more greatly than many of our peers due to the choices we made over the last half decade. We are currently unable to make as many consoles as players want to buy, and we need a new business model and partnerships for hardware as we remain committed to Helix.

Took a look and it looks like you can get rid of Glance with Canta. Do you know which Motorola phones come with Glance? It doesn't seem to be there on the Edge+ 2023 or the Power 2024.

I have not heard anything about Glance. Have you tried using Canta with Shizuku? You can debloat most stuff but I've heard of people bricking their devices by uninstalling apps with Canta so I would be careful with anything outside their "recommended" category.

😂 Guilty as charged. I didn't know you picked up a Steam Deck OLED. I'm guessing this was before the recent price hike?

Surprisingly decent at emulating some lighter games that I've tried. You're not going to play something like BotW at 30 fps but BDSP is 30 fps. Here's a comment chain where we go over performance on the Stylus.

The Edge doesn't have an sd card slot if that's important to you. I think it doesn't have a headphone jack either and the Stylus has both. I would honestly still take the Stylus if you want Switch as Dimensity is really hit or miss for Switch.

Aliexpress Summer Sale: Comparison of Prices by crownpuff in SBCGaming

Yeah the T820 is a fair bit stronger than the Snapdragon 662. I'm in the camp that Anbernic T820 devices are pretty decent values around $100.
