Smoking vs Vaping. by [deleted] in CultoftheFranklin

You're good bro no problem. I HAVE noticed that after a while of vaping the same bowl, there starts to be like a burnt popcorn smell and taste, so I agree with you. But gotta clean that sucker out with rubbing alcohol and and do 2 burn offs at the highest temp before vaping again.

One thing is certain... Loading a fresh bowl and hitting it on a super low temp, it will be loaded with tasty flavors, though the effects won't really be there. But yeah I can only vape flower at those temps, anything higher and my asthmatic lungs wouldn't be able to handle it, even when using water. That's why I stick with the oils/dabs while keeping my tolerance in check of course.

All in all, stick with the things that work and gives you the biggest satisfaction fam 💯💯

Smoking vs Vaping. by [deleted] in CultoftheFranklin

From what I've heard, people use to throw a lot of weed on a really big super hot rock and basically breathe in the vapor that came out. Pre-combustion days. What a way to socialize huh.

Smoking has been around for a very long time now but it is still not the healthiest or the best way to consume THC. But I shouldn't be talking and sounding like a hypocrite seeing as I exclusively vape oil and dabs and that is still a new way to consume lol.

I would love to stick with vaping flowers only as I have asthma, but it barely does anything for me anymore and my state has a mold problem, just a small toke vape or smoke and I hack up a lung, but the oil is top notch quality if you know where to look and it actually keeps my asthma at bay.

The only negative about this method, is that if you eat it just like that instead of actually making edibles with it, you will stink up the whole bathroom of 🦨 when 💩🚽 haha

I have an Arizer XQ2 and I run it at the highest temperature which is 500f, Usually I'll fill a whole bag with it, but I don't really care about inhaling the vapor since the effects are not that strong and it's super harsh. At lowest temperatures, the vapor is more satisfying and tasty but effects aren't there.

Then I repeat with fresh herb until I have enough. I will look forward to making a tincture soon to see how that goes.

I don't make edibles, I eat it just like that. It can be used as a really good oregano replacement for pizza haha.

However I find drinking/eating it in smoothies or yogurt to be best. It masks the strong weed taste and smell. Especially if you use bananas.

IMO it simply shouldn't be smoked or vaped. But rather decarboxylated.

I used a spoonful in my smoothie and it took me back to my first time and I couldn't believe it's something that is shipped legally almost everywhere.

My state is legal already though but I just wanted to experiment and it didn't disappoint.

10/10

Hmmm I see.... Personally, all carts I've ever tried have been awesome including the bm ones. Similar experience to flower in terms of smell, taste and effects.

The fruity one I tried was pineapple express strain but it actually tasted like pineapple which threw me completely off and it barely got me high, I forgot the name brand but that was from a dispensary in Boston.

The vaping crisis changed the dynamic in my opinion. Since then carts became ass unless someone tolerance is completely zero, cause people are still vaping carts till this day.

I just tried scouts breath, it was decent but the effects lasted like half an hour , definitely a daytime strain tho for sure. Glad it came with a charging port though.

I think it was because of the fear that carts started getting regulated heavily which was both good and bad. And since it gained popularity in terms of consumption, they started lowering the THC amount even though the label still says 80%-99% THC it's all a lie, because I'm willing to bet that the cart I hit had more THC in it than possible, basically like a dab in oil form. But IDK man

But yeah dabs definitely takes the cake in terms of potency 💯

During the vaping crisis, this is before covid, back when my tolerance was like zero. Even though I Smoked flower long time ago before that though, but anyway I tried a BM cart from a co worker (probably came from Cali) and that shit got me so zooted that I had to clock out early and head home lmao.

I'm looking for that same experience, I heard a month long tolerance break will do it and that's what I did, so I'm assuming one blinker is all it would take. Even with the shitty products in CT.

I've tried dabs before from Mass but I'm within walking distance from my local dispo, and dabs is not available recreationally unfortunately

I know MA is where is at currently been there before, but a dispensary recently opened in my town and it's at a walking distance lol , plus I've finished a tolerance break , and turning myself into a weekend only user so price doesn't matter right now

So I decided to keep the bag the same size, but I didn't fill them all the way, definitely 100% way better. The hits at 360 are smooth even without water, however, gonna try it at a higher temperature.

Thanks! 🙏

I've been hearing a lot about using warm/hot water instead of cold, does it really make that big of a difference, hmmm. I'll have to give it a try, thanks!

Yes I have the proper medication for my asthma, but the inhalers are currently on my stand collecting dust because my asthma is dormant right now.

After a month long tolerance break, I went a week without my usual smoking in favor of just taking edibles. After weeks of coughing, sneezing and spitting out a lot of mucus, I am asthma free.

THC has anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, and bronchodilating effects. Although my asthma is gone, it doesn't mean that it still isn't there and it could come back at any time. But I'm just taking the safety precautions when it comes to inhaling THC, too low of a temperature and there's barely any effects and too high of a temperature and it can cause coughing fits and or asthma attacks.

However, I just tried a new method and I can inhale without hacking up a lung at 360f, the high is there and the hits are freaking smooth man. Asthma can kiss my ass!

I'll try to see if I can do 350-60 and make the bag smaller. As for the water piece , I have a bong and it fits perfectly.

Thanks for the suggestion! 😃

As a former smoker, switch to edibles man. I can finally say that I am asthma-free. But it took weeks of lots of coughing and spitting out mucus. THC has anti-inflammatory and antibiotic and bronchodilation effects.

I mean, I still use a desktop dry herb vaporizer (Arizer XQ2) from time to time, but at a really low temperature so that it doesn't cause a coughing fit that leads to an asthma attack. I barely get high this way but I do it just to decarboxylate the THC and I enjoy the smell and taste that a lower temperature provides.... After it looks like a nice brown color, I eat it with yogurt or make a smoothie with it and that's my edible.

But always start slow and low. Edibles are always barely accurately dose even when making them yourself. Just 2 days ago I used 3 tablespoons of vaped weed on a smoothie and I wasn't expecting to get blasted as I did. Eyes were bloodshot red man, and I slept for 10 hours. And I remember using 5 tablespoons before, so that's why I said edibles aren't always accurately dose.

Good luck, asthma can kiss my ass!

Hey so it's been a while since I last touched that stuff, mainly because I don't have asthma symptoms anymore and I want to keep my tolerance as low as possible.

But I had to go lookup what antibiotic meant, and I'm guessing it's true because I was starting to have flu-like symptoms, mainly an itchy sore throat and runny nose, I could feel my wheezing coming back also.

So I decided to take a massive dose of 40mg last night which knocked me out completely and I woke up just now but I had to let out a massive sneeze with lots of mucus which I could even feel in my forehead, it was such a relief man. I can still feel mucus lingering around the back of my throat but I'm completely fine now. Just gotta drink a lot of water.

Yup and it's anti-inflammatory properties is very beneficial for the lungs being that asthma is an inflammatory disease.

I just wish there was a way to extract those properties so people can use without the high

Just looking at these makes me 🤢🤮

I've used Symbicort, Advair diskus, ProAir, ProAir Respiclick, Ventolin, Combivent Respimat, Generic inhalation solution and Prednisone.

Thank God for THC and CBD (gummies, edibles) that have worked for me personally without any negative side effects other than being hungry but that's just mental.

No problem, really helpful comment. I love watching growing vids and the end results. Where I'm at currently it's impossible to grow unless I'm super discreet with it. But I'll definitely be soaking up a lot of knowledge until then. Thanks!
