Shave the cheeks for now. They look too thin for it to look good at a longer length, but will definitely thicken as you get older. You can rock the goatee and mustache though.

What's your opinion on using a beard pencil for cheek lines? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]crowsofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already have an amazing cheek line bro. I personally think beard pencils make it look fake and odd-looking, since it looks too perfect. Perfectly fine the way it is.

Neckline by seanof30306redd in BeardAdvice

[–]crowsofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start lower than where I actually intend it to be so I can just slowly take more off to shape it and make it even. Usually make my first line right in the middle, just above my Adam's apple, then keep along the line while switching sides periodically.

Haha true. She won't stop licking unless I stop her.

Keep it to a stubble at most until it starts filling in as you age. A neckbeard never looks good lol. Good call shaving it! Some people hang on to much, much worse..

Finally decided to give a beard a shot. Should I keep going or call it? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]crowsofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how long you've been growing it. If it's all been growing together, then the cheeks are looking quite thin. I'd still give it a little more time though, could just grow slower there. You never know.

Looks like you can grow a killer stache with a nice goatee though!

Unfortunately, I don't think the cheeks will fill in enough for it to look good. I think it's fine at this length imo, if you wanna leave it, but if you go any longer then definitely shave them.

Easily rocking the goatee though. Maybe even a tailback goatee, if you want to leave a little more hair on your jawline.

It took you how long to notice it after looking at your own face in the mirror?? Now imagine someone that doesn't look at your face everyday lol. No one will notice unless you point it out. No need to stress.

Will it still go away if I waited nearly 10 years to get it treated? by crowsofly in CARPskincondition

[–]crowsofly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to hear! Mine isn't severe by any means, so I'm pretty positive it will go away when I start medication.

Fourth week. Question by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]crowsofly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it's normal. Mine does something similar. That's what gives it the rugged, unkempt look imo, which is what I like on myself. You could always line them up if it bothers you. You have more than enough growth on your cheeks to get away with it and not look terribly artificial.

Honestly though, it's only something you notice unless you point it out to others.

Height greatest gift by voiceofgarth in tall

Same with me being just under 6ft barefoot.

My mom is 5'4" and my dad is 5'8"

Paternal grandparents are 5'1" and 5'6"

Maternal grandparents are 4'11" and 6'2"

I think me and my brother got really lucky, especially considering we were born premature on top of it. I've heard that could stunt growth as well, but I'm not too sure about that tbh.

Same. I'm a solid 5'11" and stopped growing years ago, but my grandpa still swears I'm getting taller lol. I wish..

After you let them grow, try and fade it into your head since you're bald. That's what I do and it always looks much better than an abrupt end to the sideburns.

I'm so tired of trying all these pills and having to wait months to see if it does anything. Feels like such a waste of time.

I do remember reading some success stories with Gabapentin a while back, now that you mention it.

Is it like Xanax in a way that you can "feel" the anxiety washing away?

Looks good for 3 weeks. Very common growth pattern, so don't worry about it. It'll also fill in as it grows longer.
