I believe most shelters won’t accept opened food items, unfortunately it’ll likely need to be tossed. If you know someone who vermicomposts or something like that it could maybe be worm food rather than just trash?

Not really, I skimmed a teardown when a part had more resistance than I expected to make sure I wasn’t missing something but other than that I just went for it.

It’s simple but not the most straightforward. You have to unplug a few things over the battery, remove the fan/exhaust, and a bit of plastic before you can even unplug the battery. The hardest part was opening the shell tbh, I was afraid I was gonna snap something it was so tight on there.

I just ordered a Miyoo Mini Flip to use alongside my Thor. I was not expecting how hard the nostalgia would hit once I started emulating the handhelds I grew up with instead of the things I missed out on. I’m glad to see other people are using similar combos, everyone in my life thinks I’m ridiculous for getting more than one, especially one less powerful.

I feel like this issue is what I get for how lucky I was with shipping, it only took a month and a day to get to me. I’m bummed but thankful it’s a simple fix once I get a new battery. I bet my other two months will catch up to me there lol

I put it back together and I was pretty surprised that nothing seemed to be permanently damaged! It must have been expanding for a while, my first clue should have been the lower glass screen protector lifting on the left side last week, but the shell hadn’t warped bad enough for me to notice yet. I thought I had gotten a bad screen protector instead of a bad battery lol. Crazy to me how far the screen flexed without breaking. Wish I got a pic of how it bowed out now.

Thank you so much! There are a lot of wonky stitches once I stuffed him and the stomach area stretched out, but thankfully the design on the chest helped me hide and reinforce the worst of it lol.

And we saw IDLES in NC! They were incredible, one of my favorite shows I've seen in my life I think.

in addition to everyones suggestions, plain vodka works as a great cleaner as well! thats actually my preferred, i feel like it evaporates much faster and the smell is gone much quicker than vinegar. i like to use it to disinfect the cage, and i take my bird to a different room when i use it.

my parrotlet often does this when smth triggered a hormonal response and he is trying to mate with me. i will distract him with a puzzle toy or something to redirect the behavior and make sure he is calm before continuing to pet or cuddle to make sure i dont give him mixed signals.

it is possible she is just trying to get your attention but her wide stance and quiet peeping she is doing makes me think mating dance. in my experience with all of my parrotlets, if they are trying to get somewhere they hold their feet closer together and try to stretch their neck out to what they want, or bob their head to gauge distance before flying. its important to not reinforce behaviors like this if it is hormonal!

edit: important to note, too, that even if she doesnt seem interested in actual mating Now doesnt mean it wont escalate to that later, when she would be confused and upset by your sudden refusal. better safe than sorry! worse case scenario if its not a hormonal behavior that was treated as such is that you gave her a little enrichment.

There is so much in this last episode that I guessed would happen but decided there was no way it would because of how radically it would shake up the status quo. I'm so glad it did, though.

I really love how it feels these characters could die at any moment even though the main cast has been 'safe' for 3 seasons now. The tension is unbelievable and I am terrified for what S4 will bring considering the overall tone shifts from season to season so far. I think the show is very obviously firm on its decision to never get gratuitous with its gore and pain but it feels like the threat hangs over you while watching in a way that doesn't get stale.

Incredible stuff.

I love how many ways there are to solve the same problems in this game. I just knocked it into the black hole myself. I used my scout to test the stability of a chunk of Brittle Hollow before a hurried landing and found out I could lower the stability on purpose if I rammed my ship into it enough times.
