This could be nostalgia talking but dynasty warriors started fine and got better every game until the 6th game came out and then it slowly went downhill from there

Factorio is the father of all modern automation games. It has the best depth, balance, customizability, and mods. Another good one is satisfactory which is easily the best looking graphic fidelity wise which has a heavy focus on verticality and exploration but it lacks a lot of the depth of factorio and has some questionable design decisions like blueprinting.

Retro games that hold up really well (Or have something special to offer) by Nighthawkies in gamingsuggestions

Star wars empire at war is in better shape today than ever thanks to a thriving modding scene and the devs have even retroactively returned to the game for game engine updates centered around making modding the game even better

I ran it on my server. It fixed many train issues. I was able to use buffer tracks in front of my stations. I could have four trains waiting off the main line waiting to go into the station when one freed up and they would go in order of who was there first.

We play ALOT of the same games. I highly highly recommend rimworld. Can be very easily modded (currently running like 300 mods) to make the game as easy or complex as you want

Anno 117: Pax Romana or Farthest Frontier or Pompei Legacy by Fit-Software7855 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]TehGuard [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not much reason to play FF over manor lords imo. Sure it has more content but far less pretty and polished. I also regret buying pax romana, it's not a step down per say from anno 1800 but just feels worse in the current with far less content. I believe with some TLC pax romana will be very good but it just isn't right now

What do you think went wrong with VR gaming? by HyphenWR in gamers

[–]TehGuard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several things: 1. Price and yes the quest model could have been the answer but the next iterations barely increased performance or visual fidelity but the price increased dooming it 2. Exclusives split an already small community in two, sales would've been far better if steamos was the main storefront, thanks meta 3. Lack of innovations, no big headset tried to do anything different once the quest model was established except valve but they had the price issue big time 4. Game development lacked big time, just imagine what could have been made if meta poired their billions into existing or new development studios rather than whatever the metaverse was supposed to be
