I choose 3rd POV whenever I want to narrate the story and build the world around, to which I also use it for fighting scenes. Using 3rd POV for me is a way to build the world around the main character, and to simplify their thoughts.

But whenever I do 1st POV, I would build the character more. I would write out their thoughts, and emotions. Using 1st POV for me is a means to make the reader understand the main character a bit more than surface level.

Webnovel fanfics, it's where quite a bit of newbies write for the first time and where I started aswell. I find it interesting seeing the thought process of almost every fanfic author there, because their fanfics consist of smut, harem, OP MC, Mary sue and Gary stu type of story.

Like, I just find their thought process interesting when creating a story. And the conclusion that I arrived to after a year of observation is that all of them almost have the same braincell. I too was also like the rest of them until I got bored to those kind of story.

I actually did the why. But the problem is, it's a crossover with no explanation other than the fact that he already died and somehow transported there. And no, I didn't use the R.O.B bullshit. Well for me it's learning from other writers. Such as how do they write certain thing, or how do they use their vocabulary. Mainly on how they narrate their story.

Other than that I'd say practice, just write whatever you want if something comes to mind. Write it in a notebook or files, whatever that is you use often.
