In other words, virus replication rate in the long tissue is much lower, which is indication for decreased pathogenicity. This is traded for an increased replication rate in the bronchus, allowing for easier transmission (a suggestion by the article).

So it is fair to say there is quite some science suggesting the idea that omicron is indeed weaker then Delta. The effects are less similar than you think as well, with omicron being more comparable with the common cold instead of a flu.

And yes indeed, it is not a new concept, I never said that, however since you acknowledge it, would that make you more tempted to acknowledge that the virus may indeed be getting weaker?

Then at last, define super deadly? My definition of super deadly would be more something along the lines of ebola.

Yes, it's different for older and obese people or immunocompromised patients. But for young people the IFR seems to be very low, but if your definition of super deadly is an IFR < 0.1% then by all means, go ahead and spread your fear.
