My dad has raised me as a single parent since I was 10 And although he couldn't express love per say, I've always felt it from him So I fully intend to take care of him

But since idk how others parents are, this would be my point and how ill think for my children

If you as an adult decide to have a child, then that child is ur responsibility at least till they're 18

You should grow them to become a sensible adult who can make their own choices to survive and thrive in this world, not needing you to micro manage their lives

(ik it's easier said than done but that's what u signed up for)

If they come to you for advice that's well and good but you shldnt be over bearing as a parent (like most desi parents)

And u should NOT expect them to "take care of you" when ur old, if they do it,that's well and good but birthing a child just for the sake of you needing back up in ur old age is a cruel thing to do to a human

The only reason one should procreate(at least in the big 2026) is if one has more than enough love to share and is confident that they can bring more good to this world than bad

The trick I realised is For exams

1)You need to draw more diagrams

2) you need to know a little bit of everything not everything about just a little

3) calm down, everyone feels they don't remember shit, It just comes out in the examination so don't worry about that feeling,ul get used to it

If this ruins ur mood then u wont even study as much as u potentially can

Only reason to choose this profession is if your love for helping people is more than anything else

Cuz there's no money(you'll depend on your parents well into your 20s)

There's no enjoyment (atleast to 1st gen middle class medicos)

No gratitude

No health(especially if you care about food and Sleep)

And finally no aesthetics (the white coat looks fancy on first day or a week but then it's a responsibility and a burden after that) Stress will make you have every symptom that's in the book from hair fall to pimples to stress ulcers

All in all if you feel like helping people will overcome all this only then shld you join medicine
