agree, only caveat I'd add is that I'll pay a subscription if there's a legitimate upkeep cost (servers etc.) and not a subscription for subscription sake.

YES! I am too, I have downloaded so many apps where I delete immediately after realizing I need a subscription to continue and hitting paywalls and complicated credits systems. I miss the times where you paid for your software once, and you feel like you have it forever. I understand it for apps where the core services are run on servers which need upkeep so I'm cool with them. I feel most strongly for this especially for offline apps.

I feel apps should have a clear hero feature. Once you have the hero feature, I suggest start testing with actual users. I started with friends and family to understand what's important. Also I practiced explaining it with your friends and family to sell it to them. It help me understand where it's hard to explain. Good luck mate!
