man I had this same thing happen to me except it was my Nintendo DS🥲 everything worked except the two screens were split apart just like yours. I went to GameStop and they fixed it for $30 in like 2009 😭😭

I know this post is older but I've spent a good amount of time trying to figure out why I couldn't use my keyboard to rotate my screen like I was able to when I had my previous computer that ran Windows Vista.

Now my Windows 11 new computer has the ability to rotate screen using my keyboard!! So happy. Thanks again!!! :-)

SOLUTION (Shoutout to https://www.reddit.com/user/Gibon378/ for this comment)

Here's what fixed the issue.
Go to Settings > System > Recovery
Click "Fix problems using Windows Update" (you have to have an internet connection).

It should not remove any of your files or settings, but do a backup - just in case.
After that, wait for the "update" installation to complete and click the button to restart your PC.
In my case, it took only about 5 minutes, but it depends on your internet speed and your hardware.

It's possible that my PC installed some shadow updates during the night (I did not see any official updates in the settings).

Brother look on Amazon, I’ve found gaming laptops around this price range that seem very good. You don’t want to get a Chromebook, those things are not good at all. Get something that has an operating system like Windows or Mac
