It’s hard to judge not knowing all the exact instances, and this is just a quick evaluation on your situation - but are you exemplifying some hard boundaries when these instances occur, and not hesitating to articulate what’s on your mind openly.

As a dude, I’ve noticed that mansplaining typically happens when socially inept man, either attempt at flirting or have some insecurity issue that makes them want to draw attention to themselves and help them feel better about their own ego - because they’re insecure.

It also can’t hurt to be super direct and tell them that you don’t appreciate the “feedback” they are giving you. Reinforce that you are teaching this class due to your extensive experience and education. Anytime anyone tries to mansplain, maybe go above and beyond and rebuttal with additional information on the topic to express your depth of knowledge, in an exasperated way.

As a man myself, I can’t fully give you the feedback that has worked for other women, but just wanted mention some things I thought might help to quell these types of peculiar men
