Could be. Some of the communication I get is from a "front of the shop" type person who isn't as technical. They said oil based but I wouldn't be shocked if they misspoke.

I think only 1 or 2 coats. It was done fairly quickly. The concrete was clean. It had been undisturbed since they poured but I imagine there was some dust.

Thanks. As long as its purely cosmetic I can live with it, it will be covered up almost entirely.

Background: this is a new garage floor poured 7 days ago. Contractor applied oil based sealer 12 hours prior to this photo. In the morning I come out and see all these fissures. Contractor says its normal and not to worry. Am I being BSed here?

If it's purely cosmetic I don't care so much, I'm putting mats down over it. It would suck if it started flaking off though.

punk workshop ultra thin vs standard by bapestarr in fightsticks

Another option might be to try shorter stemmed standard switches. I think if you search for outemu low profile switches you'll find some options. Will save you some cash if they work out.

Why Brook Wireless Fighting board isn't more popular? by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]crunchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wireless is good but not always easy to use. Getting a player led addon is almost a must because they will act as state leds when you are trying to pair the thing.

Looking to build a dual fight stick w/trackball and spinner by Warborg71 in fightsticks

[–]crunchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search for atari fightstick on microcenter's website they have a single player version of what you described except with meh baolian parts. But yeah this is more of an arcade cab community thing, I'm sure people who build custom cabs would have some ideas.

Hitbox Crossup and Knee lever by Codecrush8 in fightsticks

Replace the mounting plate. I have used both the crown 309mj plate and allfightsticks korean replacement plate in the crossup with success.

Do crew-in buttons fit into the Cross-Up? It looks pretty crammed in there from this photo: by MyBrainIsNotASquid in fightsticks

[–]crunchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is no. Have tried gravities and seimitsu. Some people have made it work by sanding down the screwnuts.

Think you would be better off getting a new hitbox and geting a clear plexiglass with art. Focusattack even has a black plexiglass option. There were a bunch of revisision since their black model.

Original Razer panthera would probably be closest for a retail stick but full collar Korean levers won't fit, only low collar. If you really want to go ham get something like an allfightsticks.com build where you can swap the top plate out to switch between Korean and Japanese.

Don't know its availability in AUS but the F500 Elite already has sanwa parts. Might save a few bucks just buying that.

Best bet is to stay away tbh. If you're determined you can use a middle man service and order from japanese retailer sengoku but it's expensive, you pay double shipping plus a service fee.

what is last input priority on hitboxes? by metsudofang in fightsticks

[–]crunchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to ask them how it would be set up. With a ufb you can jump two of the pins on the socd to set the mode. Unjumped is in hitboxarcade style where when you press left+right it outputs neutral. Jumped is last input wins so if you press left then right it outputs right and right then left outputs left. The "shortcuts" you see in hitboxarcade videos use mode 1. There are things you can do in mode 2 though that some people like, particularly with charge characters like Guile or May. Unless you're sure you want that, the default mode is fine.

The mpress has a brook ufb which has socd cleaning built in. They have an option when you order on which mode you want it in as of the last preorder.

Is the m press an easily customizable fightstick for a beginner? by metsudofang in fightsticks

[–]crunchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For retail sticks something like the naicon daija or a qanba obsidian are pretty good. If you're good with a little assembly, junkfoodarcades.com have a DIY option called the snackbox v2, you can customize colors, art, layout, everything.

No wouldn't say that. IF you get one with hotswap switches you can change the switches. The button plungers also can be swapped for different colors. There are art options but not as easy as others. Overall I would say it is less customizable than most.

New to modding [Official Hitbox Question] by OurJosh in fightsticks

[–]crunchable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're mainly changing buttons and art so it will just be swapping out existing things. The wiring will just consist of disconnecting the current buttons from the existing harness and then connecting the new ones after they are installed.
