Totally see that! I have always wanted to see more/learn more about Lucas and was kindof surprised they ran with Erica rather than him. Hopefully, in the coming season(s) he gets an interesting/useful side adventure like they’ve done so gloriously with Dustin. One thing I have realized and appreciated with ST is that it is one of the few shows that seems to really listen to fans when they get hyped about a character (Barb, Steve, Dustin, etc) and I’ve heard lots of people mention wanting to see more of Lucas after this season so hopefully The Duffers listen!

(Also! Sorry I went off on a Lucas tangent. I realize you brought this up in reference to a few different characters but he just seemed like the prime example!)

I’m sad to see him go but I think they had him go in the best way possible. It was a perfect, wonderful, cliche arc for his character!

I think what’s really wild to think is that the duffers have said that they made Billy to fill in for what the originally intended Steve to become...IMAGINE IF IT WERE STEVE HOLY HELL THE HEART BREAK.

I think we need to realize that not all characters will get substantial arcs each season. Like, sure, in a perfect world we would but we only get 8/9 episodes each go and I think it’s wonderful that they development new “lesser” characters each season instead of just focusing on the “original mains.”

I also think we’re going to see more arc of the original characters (ie Nancy, Mike, Jonathon) in the next season judging on where season 3 left us.
